I leech of some poor bastards internet everyday and for more than a year, I had two WIFI signals from which to leech from but one got smart and added security to it. I even redistribute the signal I leech as my own to my other WIFI devices that aren't in range, but the bad thing for them is that I'm constantly downloading huge files and streaming lots of shows daily. I'm on it right now. B-)

Nope. I have internet i pay for at college through the school. I have a router at home. And if i am out of range of those, i have unlimited data through my Verizon plan. From there i can tether to my laptop and surf away.

I've done it recently, but only because we were switching Internet providers and I was going to be without it for a day or two.

If someone doesn't put a password on their network, it's free game.

I actually did leech off of someone's internet once. I used it to download massive amounts of porn email people in my group for a project we had to do. :ninja:

This was only once. I've never leeched off of other people's internet since.

I like cracking the WEP keys of nearby networks, and a couple of easy password WPA keys - but other than maybe checking the router page I don't bother with the network after.

Closest I have been to stealing internet is after cracking a wep key I forgot to remove the access point from my connect to list and the next day it auto connected to it - it was really slow so I noticed within a few minutes.

The main reason I do not use others wifi is I don't want to cause them monetary loss, for all I know they rarely use the internet so have one of those ridiculous plans that only allow 2GB a month and costs a bomb if you go 0.00001MB over it.

One place I lived at a few years ago had an unprotected wifi nearby which clearly had not been setup (default router name etc), after leaving it alone for months we decided to rename it to some thing stupid for the hell of it, i drive past this area occasionally and even after 3-4 years it still hasn't been changed back :wtf:

I used to when I lived with mom, but it was the only open network and eventually they put a password on it so I couldn't use it anymore. PCs are boring with no internet connection :P
Like 95% of all the Wifi networks in my city are encrypted, and there aren't enough networks at most places that there's likely to be an open one. There might be like 5 networks within reach in some spots, not much more, but in most places there's less.
