I tend to believe that the Crown3ds was at some point very real but it simply got broke by an FW Update that adds better security.
Now the Devs are stuck.

Well I don't really think that is a big problem for them.
The DS flashcarts makers always seem to easily bypass FW updates and I would think that also would apply to this.

First of all, crown3ds is obviously fake. Second of all, the DS flashcart runs in DS mode, so it's not exactly the same security. All they have to do is change the ID of the card after a new update and it will read it again. Unless Nintendo just blocks every DS games, they can't prevent DS flashcarts.

Well you can't really say that for now.
Its currently are best hope for a 3DS hack so might as well show optimism.

You know there are DS games that have about 50 games in 1 cart being sold, so they are about as legal as an R4
No, they're directly illegal (whereas flash carts are just "questionable").

Wrong. FireGrey made a good point. The importation of any R4 flash card is illegal to do in the UK. That doesn't stop them coming in though.

In general they're "questionable", as the UK is just one country, whereas in others they're imported fine (like the US), and some even sell them openly in malls.

If it is real I hope they at least wait until they get homebrew working which would enable some cool things as well as give them plausible deniability.

Just checking, but do people still think this is real?
So brave, with your enduring pessimism stemming only from some sort of deranged desire to say "hahaha I told you so" if it turns out to be fake and "well at least I didn't get worked up over it" if it doesn't.

If you want to keep making useless posts, Facebook is the other way. Spare the rest of us.

Did you just imply that Facebook has more useless posts than GBATemp? Ironic that you're saying in a thread about a fake flashcart - a 98 page thread. Ha. Also, please use words correctly next time you post. You end up looking foolish when you try to drag out an elongated assumption based off one sentence.

Whoah there, don't start again... we all know what happened last time you told someone to use words correctly.

As for me, I still think this might be real.

Do point out what proves this is fake.
I'm interested.

Show me what proves it's real. At this point, you guys have one video, doing one thing, a site that has been at 70% for weeks, nothing to back this up any further, and you're expected to believe that not only is a cart currently out going to magically have 3DS ROM compatibility via a software update, but you were to expect it before the end of the year. Oh, but the end of the year came up and the team was claiming they ran into problems and it would be delayed.

Right.

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Besides, you didn't answer my question.
What makes you think it's fake?
If anything, there's more proof of it being real than proof of it being fake.

Until you have actual arguments on the matter, I'm going to assume you're just a troll.

@K3Nv2, RIP Felix does great videos on the PS3 yellow-light-of-death.

Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

The phat model had amazingly loud speakers tho.

@Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."
