Hacking R4 and the new update, for 12/8/11

Well, i am an r4 owner like many of us here, i just got mine for my 3ds. from r4ids.cn. Now im concerned that if i update this 8th, my r4 won't work anymore.
Im going play it safe and not update on the 8th until a patch is released or sumthing.. What are your thought guys? has anyone heard anything? nothing concerning this update?

I didnt want to make another thread, i have a question, i got a r4i3d (www.r4i3d.com) Does anyone know if it works with the last update? (3.0.0-5U) It worked perfectly with 2.2.0-4, and if it doesnt can something happen to my flashcard if i use another firmware? Thanks

I just updated my 3ds to the 3.0.0.5 and now my R4i 3DS stopped working. I still see the sponge bob icon but when i got launch it i get the need to power off message.

I have the newest Wood RFi Gold FW 1.41, from www.r4ids.cn, on my card. Everything was working fine with the last major 2.2.0.4 update with no issues.

Anyone else run into this?

I am not sure what firmware i have on my R4i 3DS card. It worked with the last firmware update from Nintendo though with no problems.

Is there a way to put:
The 3DS V2.2.0-4 Patch for R4i Gold 3DS is released now! (for R4i gold 3DS card only)(Nov.21th,2011)

on my R4i 3DS Gold card after updating my 3ds to 3.0.0-5?

I was able to borrow a DS Lite and run the V2.2.0-4 firmware update on my R4I 3DS Gold card. It is now up and working on my 3DS!
