I love Animal Crossing, and this mod is really great! I have the utmost respect for the creator! Thank you very much for your excellent work! I play it via Batocera and Dolphin on a Ryzen 7800x3d with 4070Ti Super and correspondingly upscaled graphics ;-) and would really like to patch my ISO so that I don't have to load the riivolution patches every time, because for some reason Dolphin doesn't save the setting that the patches should be loaded automatically. RiivolutionIsoBuilder doesn't work as hoped; the created ISO always gets stuck with a black screen.
A solution for this would be really great!

Did you press "Save as Preset..."? If you do so and place the JSON file in the same folder that contains your games, you have practically created a shortcut in Dolphin to launch the mod.

Thanks @SunakazeKun – you're right. I did that before, but I obviously forgot to add the .json extension to the file name. Now it runs directly from Batocera just as it should.

iirc it must be cios251 under usb loader gx. Just look at the settings of usb loader. What does it say there?
Hello can you help me the riivolution version usa first one works on dolphin without riivolution iso builder but when using iso builder didnt work

disable classic controller hack, u guys are causing unnecessary confusion, I know one of you knows better
Can i ask?, how do you patched the game? i mean this: In what format(ISO/WBFS) did you put the file to be patched, what version and revision did you use, and in what format(ISO/WBFS) did you put the patched file.

Edit: And also what did you use? RiivolutionISOBuilder or RiivolutionISOPatches

I've managed to patch my copy of the game using the riivolution iso builder.

I have a question, apparently it has worked. It says deluxe and by aurum on the title screen, but when the game starts for the first time I cannot choose my skin tone. the dialog doesn't appear, and i've wathed a gameplay that shows where it should appear that dialog. i know it doesn't appear. the game plays normally and the deluxe options appear. everything apparently is there, but i dont understand that... makes me think that i might be missing other things.

I dont know the usual workflow of the game, i downloaded for my wife that liked the ds one, so we have no more references that the ones on the web. All i can say is that the dots in the dialog boxes appear. Are we missing something here?

As an update: I've been trying different versions of the game and different revisions (1.0 or 1.1). Couldn't test all of them but with the usa version in 1.0 i've managed to use classic controller. I know some said to disable it, but at least to me its working. Just with the downloaded files from the mod i enable it and it works. It is my firs time doing this kind of stuff and english is not my first language, so sorry in advance if i didnt understood the conversation

I managed to get a working ISO out of RiivolutionISOBuilder.

First, build it as usual. Whether you enable the Classic Controller patch is up to you (it works fine from what I tried.)

Once you get your output ISO, extract it using either wit or Dolphin.

Go into the mod's accf_deluxe/game/ folder. Copy over the corresponding module kmdl for your game copy's revision and region in the accf_deluxe/game/Brewster/ folder. In my case it was module.USA_REV_0.RELEASE.kmdl

Paste it into the files/ folder within your previously patched-then-extracted ISO. Rename this file to "module.kmdl"

Your files are now ready to be repacked again into an ISO or WBFS. You can do this with the
Code:
wit copy <input> <output>
command.

You can tell you did all this correctly if the skin color picker shows up in the bus ride with Rover.

It worked in dolphin but not in usb loader gx or configurable usb loader, any suggestions?

nkeyo looks like he knows what to do

*sigh* i tried all sorts of ways to make an iso/wbfs that could work on a normal wii but it's no use, im honestly kinda giving up.
ahh. Give yourself a break before you put your head on again. Unless anyone else has better input, Id point you to homebrew sections of discord or forums to work out that there might be an issue with your wii homebrew set up. Go over as much as you can and try to retain it so you can be as best help you can to someone there helping you. Its also ok to let the helper know you reached a giving up point and now you need help.

Reason: Unless you started the game wrong or built it wrong is the only reason why it wouldnt work should your wii build be sound. hence the homebrew thing

Hey there, I would first start with a clean game dump of the game, making sure it is in ISO format.

Then, I would use riivolution iso builder to make the deluxe version of the game, without the controller patch.

Lastly, I would add the controller patch to the newly built iso using Wimms tools. This should allow you to have the deluxe version and the controller hack without any black screen issues.

Once you test the newly built iso with deluxe and the controller patch, and confirm it works, then you can make it into a WBFS file
