You can see the settings of the game under usbloader gx. Some games require diffrent cios. I tried city folk with the ios251 under the settings of usbloader and it worked for me. I can boot up my Wii tomorrow and look again, because I'm not at home right home. Maybe somebody here can confirm quickly what settings they have for that game

Im a little afraid to try the game again after those issues. Although everything is normal now. I had the setting to use global and every other game is like that. Now that Im back in my wii, Im gona start another wii game and see what happens

It would be lovely to me to wait to tomorrow for some help. | I can confirm that another game messed up my wii mote. This game is actually starting to play though but my wii mote unsynced. Perhaps if I waited on the other game it wouldve started too. Idk about city folk deluxe. Btw dolphin didnt get it to start either. It seems to be clear something else is wrong like perhaps the Cios.

I tried playing a gamecube game yesterday with no changes done inbetween and it played normally

Just try it on dolphin and you see if it's working properly. Nothing can happen there. Don't mess around with cios installer of the wii. If other games worked correctly, then it must be the patched iso of city folk. Is your usbloader gx up to date? I saw that the version v3.0 r1281 can automatically choose the right cios for you. You can see the version of usbloader gx when it boots up

My usbloader v is .... its hard to read on my CRT i think its like 1232--- I think now 1292*. It did say test version. I cant read it very well. It might not be the Latest latest. Its got the new UI menu at the bottom which I like.

Either way for some reason all my wii games desync my wii mote. Im gona try to get that solved before tomorrow so we can focus on accf deluxe

**OOP just fixed the desync! I easily found the solution here. I deleted "gxglobal.cfg" in the USBloader app folder. It reset my settings for usb loader but oh well there you have it

Hey was wondering if you found a way to get the game running on a usb loader yet? I can get the game running perfect on disc with riivolution but using my wbfs backup of the game along with the same xml file wont work on dolphin, it just leads to a black screen. I tried patching my wbfs file with riivolution iso builder and running that but it returned the same result. The patched wbfs file won't run from USB Loader GX on a real console either. If you know any way I can get this working it'd be a real help, I've only got one copy of the game and me and my siblings really wanna make new towns together.

Check this first: region of console and game, revision version of gane and mod. Are those the same?

The console is 4.3U, the game is NTSC-U and revision 1, the xml file is for the usa-rev1.

Then it must be the game dump. Did you use usbloader gx to dump the game from the disc to your usb device? If so, is it up to date?

I'm trying to load this on Dolphin with the Riivolution xml, the game launches, goes thru the wiimote safety screen, online safety screen, and then it loads infinitely. The little bus icon indicating that it's loading just keeps animating and nothing happens. Anyone know what might be up?

Edit: Well, I think I figured it out. RetroAchievements Hardcore mode was enabled. I disabled hardcore mode and it booted up. That seemed to be the issue.

Is there a way to get rid of the god awful polka dot background on the text box and return it to the normal text box? I dont see it in the menu. I also do not understand why this was added...

I had the same thing until I DISABLED the Classic Controller hack as Nuguns suggested above. Core enabled, external savedata disabled, classic controller disabled. Worked on Dolphin and my vWii via USB Loader GX (current beta) as a WBFS.

yep, its really simple once you know that. I actually dont fully know what the other options are so I guessed similar to you. I like to play on my PC cause I use the mouse for a pointer. I havent tried to go online yet, I hope that guy resolves that cuz I want that too
