Actually that IS exactly my predicament as well. And I've said so here plenty of times. For federal offices, I vote against the Democrats, not 'for' anyone. But, doing that creates an inevitability, doesn't it? You have to vote 'for' something to defeat something else. It is regrettable. Maybe we can even agree on that. Just that, but it's something.

That being said, the context was to have his opponent be able to feel the pain of countless other people who have gone through the loss of life through gun violence. It was a callous remark to force emotional connection.

Speaking as the son of two poor, uneducated Muslim immigrants in the west (everyone's favorite demographic) if I spent my late teens and early 20s making "jokes," about raping women, homophobic slurs, fucking racism and how much I loved Hitler.
