The new Joy-Cons are an upgrade, but sadly it feels somewhat cheap and lightweight, I'd frankly have preferred more weight to it.

Also, the screen of the tablet looks nice so Nintendo did a good job with the Switch Pro-- I mean, Switch 2. :P

Mobapad will definitely produce better alternatives but you need to give them time.

Agree
Even the dock feels very cheap.

It's a bit too similar to the Switch, as I feared. One of the stores near me had dozen of them in stock, which isn't a good sign.

But Mario Kart is fun, and the mouse functions works really well. It isn't a big leap. Also, the introduction game should have been free and included, not paying 10 bucks for that.

I did see Pokemon Violet also getting a Switch 2 upgrade, I'm curious how it performs now. Will test that later.

I just received the GCN NS2 controller and it looks really nice in its packaging.

Getting second thoughts about keeping it in its box now. Dang, Nintendo, don't make packaging look like a museum piece. 😅

I guess the Belgians got it from France for 40 EUR less? Unless it's the bundle which is like 10 EUR less.

My question is: Has anyone successfully transferred their save data from a hacked Switch to their Switch 2?

I'm still wary on taking that gamble, but as far as I can tell, you need to be logged into your Nintendo Online account on both devices, anyway.

Why is this a bad thing? Most people literally only wanted a more powerful Switch to begin with.

I think he's talking about "nintendo switch tour" there (for which I agree...that'd be paying for a throw-in free game. I feel sad for anyone who accidentally bought it as a gift or ignorance).

Hori is probably working on Split Pad Pro units for the Switch 2 so I'll use that instead when the time comes.

That looks lovely. ^^ Few months ago I've finally ordered my N64 NSO controller to play N64 games on the Switch because, for some reason, it's hard to find anything older than Wii in a decent shape where I live. Even Wii Us are scarce these days, I've bought mine at the right time.

I really love the packaging they did with the NSO controllers.

For some reason it doesn't connect to my 5Ghz Wifi, but other than that, everything looks fine. Sucks that I am stuck with 2.4Ghz Wifi / 100mbit/s for now, but okay, I'll figure it out eventually

Try change your channel on the 5GHz network. Sometimes that might work.

Are the triggers analogue like the original?

Because a huge size of the Switch fanbase, or their mothers, have no real knowledge of consoles. For them, Switch 2 is the same as a Switch. Wii sold over a hundred million, yet the Wii U failed. Why? Because a lot of Wii users thought the Wii U was just a Wii with a gamepad... 3DS also had this issue at it start, along with the high price the Switch 2 also has.

Wow, boosting Switch 1 games that's definitely got me more interested on the console now.

I wonder if NFS Hot Pursuit will run at 60fps.

Hence the meme that the console is basically a Switch Pro, lol. It's still a fucking disappointment that most of the 3rd party releases are in the form of Key Cards, but at least there's some real value for those who wanted a Switch Pro. And especially coming from a non-OLED Switch, myself, I, for one, am happy with my purchase.

One major downside, though, is that 3rd party controllers that were usable on the Switch don't seem to be working on Switch 2. My hope is that firmware updates for said controllers will fix this. I, personally, opted against buying a Pro Controller, and I don't want to give Nintendo anymore money than I have to. So it's either hope for updates, or wait for 3rd party controllers that don't cost an arm and a leg.

1) The Wii U failed because of bad naming and the fact that it looked like an add-on to the Wii.

2) Retailers typically except returns, and are probably more than happy to upsell Switch 2 consoles, the latter of which will help mitigate the issue of grandma buying the wrong console.

3) If people are confused, they should ask for help anyway. If they don't, that's on them.

4) 3DS was also a confusing name.

5) Why should many of us care if Nintendo loses sales, when they've made blunder after blunder with this console, and need to be humbled, anyway?

Solid System, a German YouTuber, was upset that the screen quality was low. I mean it's not OLED but better than OG Switch or non-OLED Steam Deck, not as good as the ROG Ally panel though
