Wow, boosting Switch 1 games that's definitely got me more interested on the console now.
I wonder if NFS Hot Pursuit will run at 60fps.
Hence the meme that the console is basically a Switch Pro, lol. It's still a fucking disappointment that most of the 3rd party releases are in the form of Key Cards, but at least there's some real value for those who wanted a Switch Pro. And especially coming from a non-OLED Switch, myself, I, for one, am happy with my purchase.
One major downside, though, is that 3rd party controllers that were usable on the Switch don't seem to be working on Switch 2. My hope is that firmware updates for said controllers will fix this. I, personally, opted against buying a Pro Controller, and I don't want to give Nintendo anymore money than I have to. So it's either hope for updates, or wait for 3rd party controllers that don't cost an arm and a leg.
Because a huge size of the Switch fanbase, or their mothers, have no real knowledge of consoles. For them, Switch 2 is the same as a Switch. Wii sold over a hundred million, yet the Wii U failed. Why? Because a lot of Wii users thought the Wii U was just a Wii with a gamepad... 3DS also had this issue at it start, along with the high price the Switch 2 also has.
1) The Wii U failed because of bad naming and the fact that it looked like an add-on to the Wii.
2) Retailers typically except returns, and are probably more than happy to upsell Switch 2 consoles, the latter of which will help mitigate the issue of grandma buying the wrong console.
3) If people are confused, they should ask for help anyway. If they don't, that's on them.
4) 3DS was also a confusing name.
5) Why should many of us care if Nintendo loses sales, when they've made blunder after blunder with this console, and need to be humbled, anyway?
