It just wants me to connect. It gives me no option to delete the data, and just shuts off if I decline. No, I mean this.
you should only have to decline and said nag should be gone . . . unless you accidentally redownload it via sleep modeIt just wants me to connect. It gives me no option to delete the data, and just shuts off if I decline.
Nope. I declined, it shut off. Started back up, and it re-enabled the wifi adapter on me. And the nag for both system and WarioWare was up again.you should only have to decline and said nag should be gone . . . unless you accidentally redownload it via sleep mode
You can use the tutorial linked in the OP, which is free or 2$ depending on what you choose or go and pay 20$.Hi,
New member here and I need some advice on how to play roms on a n3ds. I plan on buying a new 3ds xl for my son who's 6,and I just want the easiest way for him to play the roms downloaded to the SD card. I heard about the R4i GOLD 3DS PLUS card, and thought to buy that, but it says on the page it only plays nds games,NOT n3ds...heres where I was gonna buy from... nds card dot com
Any help most appreciated, thanks guys.
That card can be used to hack your console and play 3DS games. Read this for more info.OK great. I just got confused because people on here people recommended that card, but then it says it doesn't play 3ds roms. Thanks for the reply.
If you put the SD card from one console into another, that won't allow you to play the games from the old console. You would have to do a system transfer.Ok, my friend just broke his n3ds and got a n2dsXL, had my bootntr and everything set up so i did the hacksnstuff and everything went ok, but when opening the home menu none of his old games or apps shows up. I changed the folders names (The ones inside the Nintendo 3ds folder) but maybe I should chenge other things, help me pls
FreeShop is blocked on all firmwares, so don't worry about that.
Hold Select on boot to see your Luma version. If it is 7.0.5 or less, follow https://3ds.guide/a9lh-to-b9s. If it is 7.1, follow https://3ds.guide/updating-b9s. If it is 8.0-9.0, just get the latest boot.firm from https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releases and replace the boot.firm on your SD card. In all cases, update to the latest firmware afterwards.
1 & 2 - won't make a difference really. 1 is only for display and 2 won't do anything if you don't have an emuNAND (it will still boot sysNAND).Hello milady, I did everything here and i'm running Luma 9.1.
Here some questions:
1 - In the Luma configuration, should I keep the "Show NAND or user..." option marked?
2 - Should I mark the "Autoboot emuNAND" option?
3 - How do I know it's safe to update the firmware?
Thanks in advice!
1 & 2 - won't make a difference really. 1 is only for display and 2 won't do anything if you don't have an emuNAND (it will still boot sysNAND).
3 - you can check on the forums. Generally there is a post about the new firmware update within an hour of it going live. Currently you can update to the latest (11.8).
It should only say "sys", "emu", or "ver". Are you looking in the bottom right of the top screen in settings? What version Luma do you have?Hmm, ok!
When I go to settings menu, it shows "Yakara Nintendo 3ds".
This mean that I'm on the emuNAND, right?
It's safe update from there?
The guy who sold it to you used some Colombian youtuber's files. He leaves a watermark in everything. Ever heard of a wave of bricks in January 2017? That was him.Hmm, ok!

Normally, most of us are going to tell you to follow that guide at the beginning and to the letter but seeing as you've attempted it. Well, here you go...
The restoring Luma3DS CFW (boot9strap) for those who've installed it before, lost their SD setup, and mostly forgot how any of it works, Shortcut Instructions.
1. Prep the SD card in FAT32 + (32768) 32 KB cluster size using guiformat.
- Recommended: Check the empty card in a Full Write + Verify Test with H2testw.
- If the result comes back clean without any hardware issues, delete the *.h2w test files.
- If there was a reported error, replace the unreliable card.
2. Download the CFW starter kit - 09.30.2018.7z archive and extract the files in the SD root.
- Use 7-zip, WinRAR, or The Unarchiver to open the archive.
3. Select “Show NAND or user string in System Settings” in Luma3DS configuration menu.
- If you're new to Luma3DS, have this as the default setting until you're more familiar what each one does.
- I highly recommend you don't select the last option like this: ( ) Disable ARM11 exception handlers.
4. Follow Sections III through Sections VIII: https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup
Here's a tutorial video in how to Rosalina inject Homebrew Launcher:
5. You should have access to FBI through HBLauncher by now. The rest is up to you refamiliarizing yourself how everything works.
- Optional #1 : This archive contains both *.3dsx and *.cia sets. Refer to the Update Changes Log for information about the homebrew titles.
- Optional #2 : You can Rosalina inject into the Homebrew_Launcher_Wrapper if you like having a dedicated HOME Menu icon.

Was this person on YouTube known as, El Taller De Yakara (or in English: Yakara's workshop)? The guy who sold it to you used some Colombian youtuber's files. He leaves a watermark in everything. Ever heard of a wave of bricks in January 2017? That was him.
Delete everything except your Nintendo 3DS folder, then follow this:
After that you should be free of Yakara trash files.
Yup, that's him. Can't say much about his current doings, but from what I remember, he:Was this person on YouTube known as, El Taller De Yakara (or in English: Yakara's workshop)?
What kind of watermarks are left behind using his 3DS hacks? Are they in the homebrew apps? I tried looking for those files on YouTube and his hacking service site (can't link it here because he offers selling pirated games) but couldn't find them to check out.

I would like to know firsthand what this problem is like if it's commonly encountered by 3DS users from Latin American countries.
Were you yourself part of that early 2017 brick wave? :\
For your Z-Themes thread, yes? Message Tools > Report. This might be the stupidest question that anyone has ever asked, but how do I change a thread title? I read somewhere that you can report them to a mod asking for a new title but I cannot figure out how. Thanks in advance!
Yup, that's him. Can't say much about his current doings, but from what I remember, he:
-Modified code in SafeA9LHInstaller to have his name.
-Created (or modified, most likely) a chainloader menu to have his name.
That's off the top of my head.
The brick wave was because of him having his console's otp.bin on the files you were supposed to download. Here is a Reddit post about this.
I did start getting my feet wet by watching his videos, as I'm Latino and he has some fame around here. But more seasoned people do know he's not reliable.
I was this close to being a part of the brick wave, but I chose to wait some days to see how everything turned out. This saved my console, and I obviously didn't trust Yakara anymore after that. I promptly followed someone else's tutorial (another spanish-speaking person, as Plailect's guide hadn't reached my eyes).
