Yes there actually is a US version already.
There are several patches and it depends on your flashcard which one will work. Mine worked with the arm7 fix and YS Menu (r4i sdhc).

rudolph's patch only works on the Japanese games
it won't patch the U/Eu Games

the reason that i can think of why it is not working for you
it could be the patcher looks for the correct game id and crc
correct me if i am wrong

it works fine with r4 and newest ysmenu... there is an ar code in the cheats.dat (or maybe rhe usrcheats.dat) wich is called "game fix" and another one "game fix v2"

I have some questions...

I got this JP version and patched it but it's lags the hell out of me..

so I'm thinking to switch over to the US version, but is there any chance I will still get those lags ?
and also, can I still use my JP sav on the US ?

Or is there something wrong with my Patched rom ?

I'm using R4iSdhc and i don't know which clones does it belongs to, mine from this site http://r4i-sdhc.com/

well if your JP version is pissing you the (U) version won't get any better

Search for a better patched (J) version and play that
