Feedback Recommend Me a Game: GBATemp Edition

i love how this thread exploded out of nowhere, this is starting to be too much for me LOL. I almost want to suggest using that link BUT i can still take games to play in this thread.

every single video i look at anything mainline for Touhou it's just insanity and i don't know if I'm ready for that game yet. yeah i know the hitbox is small, but the game... Maybe someday. I do want to go through my life playing this, as for now, it feels like I'm not as much of a shmup fan without playing an Aleste, Touhou, or any other notable ones.

i did NOT remember F-Zero GX being hard, but it has been a long while since I played it.

But if you're not bothered by random crashes, I say go for it, that version is definitely one of the better ones in terms of sound design and visuals imo.

I see.. I'm shocked nobody has ever made a notable hack that fixes this exact bug, but i'll play the other version without the bug.

i won't get anything until I get valerie with my steam money LOL. i don't know the price of that game yet, and i want to ensure that my $19 is enough to get the game (hopefully). i don't want for it to be another... Sea of Stars situation

I love Shovel Knight (never played it but my brother LOVES it), and Mina the Hollower is also something that my brother LOVES (and also has). He has yet to get Treasure Trove for Steam though.

I apologize, but I feel the need to correct myself as after doing some testing on emulator and via an eboot on PSP I can confidently say that this is a (PS1) hardware exclusive bug especially since speedrunners don't seem to run into this issue and any known reports of this bug only seem to be in the context of on real hardware.


It's a good thing I've been documenting version differences so I could find this out, though sadly my copy of the game on disc will remain a glorious paperweight on my shelf.

I hope this helps nonetheless.

This is mainly a post regarding some games that I'd play, but I'd go with the former. I don't know what's been going on with GTA at the moment.

A lot of games to play that are good. I'm not much of a console gamer anymore since I've been a huge pc gamer since I started a long time ago. Grew up with the commodore 64 computer and it had some great games on it. GTA is just "okay" as I'm not always big on AAA titles.

There are a lot of games that you can play and I can recommend some for you. I'm old school and I see your the same age as me so perhaps we like some of the same games. Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, cold fear (a nice resident evil clone set on a cruise ship), Until Dawn, Legend Of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Zelda 2, Link To The Past, Zelda Minish Cap, GoldenEye n64, ice wind dale 2, resident evil remake, resident evil 2 remake, resident evil 4,6, and Requiem RE 9. Resident Evil outbreak series file #1 and file #2 (you can still play online on the japanese servers). There are more but these are some of my favorites that I enjoy. We might as well throw silent hill into the mix SH 1, SH2 remake, SH 3, SH Downpour are the best of the series.
