This exefs patch will remove the 30fps cap from Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA v1.0.4
Please note that this does not mean the game will always hit 60fps, in fact in a lot of situations it will hang around mid-40fps.
This also drops the dynamic resolution quite drastically, so really this is more for people who prefer framerate over resolution.
You can try and play around with overclocking, but I haven't noticed much difference with full CPU and GPU overclock.

Installation: simply extract into your atmosphere folder.

Thanks! but I wonder why this game doesn't run 60fps natively its not that graphically demanding. maybe its not totally optimized just like Xenoblade 2? What a bad port. Anyways great mod it does it job 40-60fps

Ys IX, just like Ys VIII, suffers from memory bandwidth being too low.
Setting it to 720p in handheld mode will work fine if you're using a charger, tho that can be acheived with ReverseNX.
As for 1080p in docked mode, it will probably result in constant framedrops during fights as the effects that show up during enemy or player attacks are heavy on bandwidth.
So unlike CS3 and 4(the latter of which actually is less bandwidth intensive, probably because of more optimization), it wont perform well at all at 1080p.

I’m not sure what’s the actual resolution of Ys IX, but it looked sub 720p on docked, probably it has dynamic resolution like Ys VIII, maybe setting the resolution at 800p and disable dynamic could make it run decently?
