ROM Hack YayMii's HG/SS Translation!

@yikkyon to open the text file the best way is to use 'thenewpoketext', theres a tutorial om gba, use the search feature to find it. Pretty simple.

You basically extract the '7' file from root/a/o/2 and rename it to 'msg.narc', then drop it into 'thenewpoketext' and use a simple command and it extracts the whole game script into a PokemonScript.xml file! where you can edit all you please!!

im pretty sure he's using 'google translate' to translate the JAP text and a small program called 'thenewpoketext' to input the new dialogue/English.

EDIT: We made a truce on the Kazo translation chat. He might say it in the first post, but this is so you know. I told him where the dialog is.

EDIT2: I thought the dialog was there but it wasn't. Apparently, it's just a bunch of other in game text.

And it looks like the text you've found is in Platinum's format. Lemme check if it's identical to (JP) Platinum's msg.narc.

Steveice10, the text you've found seems to match Platinum's msg.narc.
And if you look closely, the folder that it's in is labeled 'pbr'.
As in Pokémon Battle Revolution.
Seems that Nintendo put that in for connectivity to PBR.

Does anybody know where the actual dialogue is?

Sorry for triple-posting, but I'm in contact with PaperMagician right now.
He's ready to release his patch, I'm going to make the Xdelta patch for him.

The only problems right now are:
1. He still needs to send it to me.
2. He's packing it into a highly compressed RAR file, that will take a while.
3. There's a mysterious black truck in front of his house, and he's freaking out because he thinks its the FBI.
4. Because of the black van, he disconnected himself from the internet.
EDIT: (BTW, I told Paper that the black van is probably just an undercover ice cream truck)

I didn't make up PaperMagician. If you look at the OP of the old thread, there's a screenshot of his translator. That's enough proof that he's real.

And he wasn't talking about Paper being real, he was talking about the black van.

LOL, Omg. You guys do realize that the FBI doesn't care about that yes? Hell they could give a shit less about us. Its not the FBI who's supposed to be worried about a kid sending a game over the internet. Hell if anything its a thief, the FBI doesn't bother with Piracy issues really.
