Would you say most 3DS emulators run pretty well?

I'm assuming NES and Super Nintendo work great as they did on the DS, but what about stuff like the playstation and virtual boy emulator?

Do you think there will ever be a N64 emulator ?

On a new 3ds nes and snes run fullspeed with retroarch. PS1 runs 50 fps with CFW plus new 3ds. I'm unsure about virtual boy

I doubt anyone will make a N64 emulator though.

On old 3ds/2ds PS1 is about 30 fps. snes is about 30 - 50 fps with pocketsnes but full speed with snes9x/blargsnes, Virtual boy is unplayable, Genesis is 60 fps

There is a Virtual Boy emulator. Here's a video of it running on N3DS (with moderate results):

Not from RetroArch, but it's better than the retroarch one anyway.

A custom firmware like luma3ds. You need to be on 9.2 or have a9lh. You need to download the .cia version and you should get 50ish fps. I think you need both the .cue and .bin both named the same and then boot the .cue file.

Yeah, I have a9lh installed but have updated Sysnand to the latest firmware. I might as well wait for the rumored arm9 exploit on 11.0.0-33

You can install .cia files on the lastest firmware with arm9loaderhax

    Oh, I didn't realize that.

Also @Beebz you might have known that SNES games work great with BlargSNES but work even greater with Snes9x or New 3DS VC.

Well, I've tried that and everything ( image and sound ) run most of time below half speed. Is there any setting I must tweak in order to increase the perfomance of the core?

(you can get near full speed with cia version on new 3DS, by disabling Audio/video synch (Settings>Audio>Audio Sync Enable OFF and setting sound resampler (Settings>Driver>Audio Driver>Audio) to "Nearest")
Got that from retroarch thread here.
