Hardware Wiring N64/SNES controller to Wii remote?

I just came into possession of an N64 and an SNES controller, with the cords cut fairly close to the controller itself.

What would I need to wire these up to the EXT port on a Wii remote? What sort of circuitry, or flashed chips do I need?

Would really like to play Majoras Mask with an N64 controller again!

Basically, you'd need something like a broken Classic Controller, which will have the wires rigged up to the plug that goes into the extension switch. Then it's a matter of figuring out what goes where.

Well, in theory anyways. I'm not a wire expert.

Hemm, well you might not need an orig classsic controller, you could probably make do with a nunchuck extension cable or something.

I don't think it's as simple as a bit of rewiring, i think the whole protocol is different. I'm no expert though.

I think marcan made a GC to classic controller adapter a while back.

I heard marcan still idles on some of the wii dev irc channels, you might still have a chance of asking him for infos if u need it.

Damn... was really looking forward to playing Majora's Mask with a real 64 controller... guess i'll just see what I can wire together...
