@tomx86 Here is the latest commit (e45d0c1)
Come back to me if you have any problem with (be sure to update the /pk/ folder).
@LWares87 Using the debug version will load the sdmc:/sav.dat file as the save file.
I have already implemented a way to input the save file in the args, but it shouldn't be used for now.

PS: Thanks @Slashcash :3
Thank you very much:grog::toot:

I would first like to thank you for your work. The ability to use this application for an older generation is truly a blessing. Things like this make Pokémon so much more magical, enjoying battling new opponents with old friends you've made along the way. I do, however, have one concern and two questions.

The concern being that I can not seem to boot the .CIA on my device. I have placed /pk and all of its contents on the root of my SD, and installed it. The moment I execute the application, it crashes to the home screen. I am using A9LH Luma3DS on 11.0 SysNAND, for reference. The .3DSX does seemingly seem to work, sadly, there is no debugging version I can find here in the thread.

The debugging version brings me to my questions. The first question is whether or not emulation save files will ever be supported. You stated previously that your debugging version was able to load /save.dat from the SD Card in response to a similar question, but neither GameYob or Gambatte seem to output this. They only seem to output .SAV, .SRM, and .YS0, unless I am missing something. I would certainly love to keep my Pokémon, and that leads me to my second question. I assume that the application itself reads so many bytes after a specific address for Pokémon in each of the poké-box locations. I may be totally wrong, but that is my speculation. I was curious if you knew the location of box1 in Pokémon Silver/Gold, so maybe I could modify the source to go to that address to make this compatible with Gen II for myself, provided emulation saves are even supported. Otherwise, it would be radical if you could compile a version for Gen II, and PM it to me.

Thank you for the read.

@Gocario Sorry to bother you again in your thread, but I'm having problems to compile this version of the PHBank too. Could you help me?

Code:
/home/erikus/SOURCES/PHBankGB/source/ts.c:4:18: fatal error: sf2d.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
/opt/devkitpro/devkitARM/base_rules:84: recipe for target 'ts.o' failed
make[1]: *** [ts.o] Error 1
Makefile:149: recipe for target 'build' failed
make: *** [build] Error 2

Thanks in advance again :)

Sadly no, the pk1 structure has changed a little bit. The whole save structure may or not rely on the same system. I didn't gave a proper look into since Gen2 aren't out on the eShop.

I have no idea why the .cia isn't working... :s

You are missing the sf2d library, sfil library and the portlibs.
Keep in mind that I won't give support for build version. :P

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
