cant seem to get games that require the tape to run when I press play, even put it the tape in manually and other stuff. Not sure what im doing wrong

Something weird. On my o3ds, I can quickload tap files, but crt cartridges produce an instant crash.
Tested in a fresh new installation.
I'm quite sure that my crt files worked well in previuous versions of the emulator.
I would need a CRT file that produces the crash to reproduce ...

I need some more specific info: What game? When does pressing "play" do nothing?

I would need a CRT file that produces the crash to reproduce ...

For example,
Myth (Europe).crt
sha1 67b4804f5f5246d27855becad35d365665ac52d0 which matches no-intro.

O3ds, latest firmware, latest luma3ds, dsp dumped, everything.

Thank you

it all .tap or tape files, as for your second question, im a bit confused by what your asking, but when it ask to press play when you insert tape, that when I pressed play and it did nothing

Anyone any idea to get sonic working?
Answer coming kind of late, sorry ;-)
Sonic works great - you just have to add a memory expansion in Vice Menu upfront
Push SELECT to open Vice Menu. There, choose Cartridge -> RAM Expansion Module
Check "Enable RAM Expansion Module" and "256kB"

insert Sonic D64 disk A and push "load "*",8". Not even true drive required for this game :-)

edit: found out that has already been reported and hope this can be addressed (see below)

For a 50hz pal device, the screen stays 60hz whatever i do, i could have missed something.
Trying on a n3dsll and n2ds but couldn't get proper 50hz out of it,
Is this implemented ?

'potty pigeon' with variable horizontal scrolling is good to check but i can see the scrolltext not in a smooth way.

apart from that, it's like having a sx64 again, that's brilliant thanks Badda

Reading that 3ds are capable of : 50hz has been implemented during Viper release v0.9.3,
(True 50 Hz support github issue #46 who knows much more about)

rsn8887 already opened this issue on github
