My internet stopped working yesterday. This happens regularly. (maybe once a month) So just now I unplug the router then plug it back in. When I return to the PC, I see this message on the monitor. I don't recall ever seeing this message before, even though I have reset the internet this way many times before.

What should I do? I clicked 'Keep blocking' just to be safe. Judging by the message it seemed like someone was trying to hack me. Or maybe not. No idea to be honest. But I can still connect to the internet and Firefox works fine, so it looks like I made the correct choice since unblocking wasn't necessary.

Is this something to worry about? Any precautions I should take? I have avast installed so it should have shielded me from anything.

It's because you're using Firefox when you should be using Chrome. :tpi:

Seriously though, chances are you just installed some new extension or your Firewall forgot that your web browser requires, y'know, Internet access. :P

@Skelletonike bluesky claims to be decentralized like mastodon, problem is that for some reason they decided to create their own protocol for that, I've not seen a single other instance using it
  • Skelletonike @ Skelletonike:
Yeah, 4chan was a bit sus... Probability of finding a trap when clicking on something was... Too high.
