Sorry for a double post but I have just seen these drives and would like to know if they will make backups.

According to this thread on making backups, this drive will be compatible with the wii discs.

You would be safer to order it through Just Computing. I got mine from there, via Ebay, they have a whole lot of stock from old pc's they must have acquired.
