Hacking Will any problems arise, if you install a cia that isn't region free ?

Let's say that you want to install a Japanese game's cia on a U.S 3DS with fbi or devmenu.

Is this a bad idea and will you be able to play the game (cia) ?

Then you'll need a freemultipatcher, NTR CFW cia or latest nightly Rxtools to bypass region check, then you'll be able to play games of any region IIRC

Lastly, if you still choose to install such a cia, can you screw up your CFW or will the game simply not work ?

You can't damage your cfw with out-of-region cia. That's home menu that block such games AFAIK, so cias with different regions are pretty much same.
