Has anyone used WiiFlow on the Dolphin Emulator? Can I simply unplug my USB HDD from the Wii and plug it in the PC then start Dolphin and start WiiFlow? Does WiiFlow run at good speed on Dolphin? What's the setup for using Wiiflow on Dolphin?
AFAIK only SD emulation is possible in Dolphin (using "SD.RAW" file via imagetools or similar apps), Dolphin is generally very fast if your PC is fast.
I've heard from Fix that the dol should be recompiled for dolphin but I'm not 100% sure.
It's worth a try, will be good for theme related stuff :)

Because two year old's desided to rip my sd card in half.
i do not have a second to take pics an i don't own a mico adapter.
i'm old left with doing this old school.(writing it out.)
When i first boot wiiflow, i pic what path. (usb/sd).for game partition.(this is a total clean install each time.)
it will start loading covers then freeze.(that's if it doesn't stack/di dump)
hard restart needed. after loading wiiflow again. all the covers are there.(?). so now i start going through setting things up.
at random if screen doen't freeze.it crashes..(?). hard retart. it loads but still will do the same thing.
with nands, setting that up since 4.0. (for me .)
has been hair pulling. i've tried AbdallahTerro's way. tried making/switching. what ever it takes to setting it up. an this is only 4.0.
screen crash as sooon as i choose. or trying to to dump nand has gotten. black screen 1/2.. lines through out. an telling me no "partition"
or tell me. i don't have a fat32 hard drive. but yet i can play my nands through my channel. an still select my nands an play every thing.
but v663. every thing works as it should.. i still think wiiflow is the bet all around loader for wii. it's come along way since.(he the one who shall not be named.)
it's been great. just this one version has been a pain in the ass. ( this is why i aid old school, if i had a damn sd card it would have been soo much easier.
:D

I just tested blackops using a clean r725 installation (new wiiflow.ini, new wiiflow/settings folder) and the game works just fine on AUTO setting here, I can see on my gecko wiiflow properly reloads to IOS250. It also works fine via hermes 5.1 rodries mod here.
edit: same goes for MW3, no problems.

same here. ALL my games are set to auto and all the Call of Duty games run fine. so do cheats..(using r725)

Ok,
I updated the links in my signature, WF 731 is needed to show the frame around the tiny banner (729 and 730 has emuNand issues, thanks Fix94 for fixing it again)

The new carbonik theme has both frames (A&B), background for all menus and the same 12 coverflows and button fixes as before

switch easily from TV (i.e. B=default) to cool frame (i.e. A) by editing "Carbonik Abz.ini" as such:

[GAME/USER5]
background_texture=TV.png
becomes
background_texture=frame.png

Thanks Fledge68 the awesome for frame support

@[member='Abz'], I'm not sure what kind of problems you're having with emunand. I deleted the wiiflow.ini, and all settings except for gametdb and categories, and launched and returned from Aya and the Cubes of Light 5 times in a row.

About your theme and framing stuff, I like the second one better, but you know what would be really cool, is if we could have a 3DS theme, and be able to move the banner to the top screen. :D

Is the bug report area gone from google now?

Anyway, they have probably already been reported but just in case.... As of 4.01:

Quickly selecting and launching a game while covers are still loading and/or the ogg of a plugin is still playing wiiflow will hang infinately on the loading screen.

Cache names for the plugins are named after the filename, which is a TERRIBLE idea. Most games back in the day were released on multiple systems and have the exact same no-intro/good tools name. So if your roms are zipped you might get a snes cover showing on a nes game or a genesis, ect... Probably the easiest way to fix this is to give each plugin it's own cache folder.

Fanart (and I'm assuming custom banners) don't work for plugins. Even if they did, you would run into the same issue as above, so plugins need their own fanart/custom_banner folders.

Trying to use the "download cover" or "download tdb" options just fails if tried anywhere but the wii games gamelist.

Plugins share a single "last coverflow" setting. So if you've made a special horizontal coverflow for Snes games, for example, you'll have to manually toggle it on and off when switching to a NES list or what have you.

You have to download the tdb file to update plugin rom lists. This isn't very intuitive (which I'm sure will eventually get fixed) but what's worse is the file gets downloaded every time you add roms. No need to hammer wiitdb for no reason. Probably the best solution would be to alter the download menu when in plugins to just rescan for roms and rename the button accordingly.

Sorry to list so much. I'm really enjoying the new versions of wiiflow, it just needs a few bugs squashed. ;)

I vote "B" as well... However is it a text or a graghic. 'Cause If you can make that spot text, we can make it say what it should per different plugs, no?

CHEERS

712 and 731 work perfectly in neek2o mode, it seems the new checks added for partitions and stuff in 713 made WF disable neek2o when multiple nands are presents on SD and USB (people with single nand will not notice this bug), however problem is solved now.
About moving the banner, this is not theme related yet it has to be done by modifying the source and recompiling.
Frame B wins and it's the default one used in my Carbonik theme (found in my sig)
@DaveZ_227451
the "Wii" in the frame is not txt, the whole frame is a panasonic LCD png which I edited to make it look nice.
Frames can now be used with all themes by adding [game\user5] section to the ini
the frame itself can also be changed, edited(resized, moved...etc) by adjusting the theme ini as well
Frames for default theme has to be added to the source by Fix94 if he wishes too.

Have a nice day :)

I like "B"

As for the video - not bad. maybe a little less game browsing and coverflow layout switching and more showing the new help guide, categories, and settings such as emunand settings page and download covers page. you don't have to change anything in the settings or change any categories just let the viewer see what the menu pages look like. Otherwise good job. :)

Thanks :) you're the man

Edit: I'll do a more decent one once I refine the frame and fix a few things, this is just a demo
feedback needed :P
Haven't been playing with the Wii a good long time, and after checking in on this thread after my summer vacation I see a video posted on this page.

Did... did I just see a banner playing in a small window (like I wanted a while back)?

Hey m8. If you entire setup is on the usb1, then all you need is
coverFolder=fceugx
And thats it. When browsing the nes roms, provided all your games are being shown, albeit as blank boxes, click on the home button, bottem RIGHT, and then click update cache and wait.

yea I did that and they wont show and the games work fine it's just I want the covers to show and nothing I tried works and all my roms are on usb1 in root/fceugx/roms and so I don't get confused i'm only doing 3 roms with covers til I get it right and I have no tech savvy friends that could help me so i'm here oh and I've got the covers named accordingly to the roms with the .nes.png extentions I just dont know what it could be

oh and I have changed the coverFolder=usb1:/wiiflow/boxcovers/fceugx to coverFolder=fceugx reloaded cache several times and still no covers
