So, General question for everyone.

I'm wondering how everyone has wiiflow set up
I.e. what is on your HD vs. SD. How many partitions on your HD etc?
I remember reading about having two partitions on your HD and having some stuff on one and some on the other. and still more on the SD for the best overall performance of Wiiflow.

As of now, I have 1 fat32 partition on my 2TB mybook with everything on it. And I'm not using any SD...

I don't see any drawbacks either, really..
Just thought I had read something about better emulator support if certain things were certain places...

I got all my setups on My 16gb SDHC card and my WiiflowNand on my FAT32 of my 1TB Toshiba HD. I noticed that everything loads faster from SD then from HD so I just use my HD for the Wii games and Nandemu.

Interesting. I thought it would have been faster from HD than SD but I guess that could depend since different hardware performs differently.

That's kinda what I thought too at first, but when I went into the emulator channels, it would be much slower loading the covers and the same when i would exit a game back into the emulators main menu. So I just left everything on my SDHC card. I mean it's really no big deal to me cause it is 16GB.

Hi, I will do that on my next commit. BTW bostonBC, it would be great if you could test wii game launching again, if you get blackscreens or whatever still. Thanks.

I am planning on using these 50 games as my test suite going forward. To keep is relatively scientific I will do a cold start at the beginning and run each game 2x in alphabetical order. If there are any blackscreens or hangs I will power off and restart. So we should have a sample of 100 runs each test to make it easy to calc a percentage good ;)

This list contains at least 1 game from each base IOS as viewed by the WBFS Manager app. If anyone thinks I should test a different game or games in this suite please let me know.

It should take a couple of hours from start to finish so when I get confirmation from fix on the release to check I will begin. Don't have anything with the kids until soccer later this afternoon so I should be able to get this done today.

If your doing tests, you should not only use WBFS but also FAT32.

That way you can determine if there is bugs with WBFS vs FAT32
I don't have any drives setup in WBFS format - just FAT32 so someone else will need to check using WBFS.

All my systems are setup with a single FAT32 partition. Also I only use real NAND, no emulation.

I tested r386 with this games :

Animal Crossing City Folk
House Of The Dead 2 & 3
Kirby Wii
Mario Party 8
Mario Party 9
Monster 4x4
New Super Marios Bros Wii
Super Smash Bros Brawl

All runs fine for me.
Emulators still boot randomly to black screen.

ahh right just assumed you had WBFS because your using WBFS Manager, i recommend Wii Backup Manager personally, it also has a game IOS column

Ha.. I'm an idiot - I use Wii Backup Manager too. Don't know why I typed WBFS Manager!

All emulators run fine now and exit back to wiiflow with no hangs whatsoever:
Plugins Pack - working http://www.mediafire...4abafj1bh03dqjc
Wii64 - the one in above pack had some issues: http://www.mediafire...auismsii0z8euj3 (thanks Fix for the link)

I use Wiiflow 377 Carbonik theme from fledge's latest pack modded to 15 views Wii/ 8 views Emu & 8 views Homebrew on SD , Plugins & themes & settings & cache on Sd
All roms on USB Fat32

Edit: After updating to latest Wiiflow 386 and replaced wiiflowloader.dol, I'm getting code dumps with NES when exit back to wiiflow (after seeing the wiiflow loading wait screen)
Edit2: new filter doesn't have all emulators!! so after selecting one emulator I cannot see all again :( (SNES & Genesis have no label too)
Edit3: hey fix do you have the 377 dol? I replaced it with latest one and didn't make a backup :)

Edit4: 387 went back to wiiflow fine THEN codedumped with NES
Test 2 worked fine
Test 3 went back then codedump while browsing games

I just wanna say I've fixed return to wiiflow for all emulators already, tomorrow a completely new plugin package will follow, I currently fix vbagx :)
