You use the new libogc I posted on google code?
I could get 260 to compile without a problem but when I tested it I get a screen that is mostly black but looks like a starfield and freezes instead of the Wiiflow ... starting up screen. Haven't tried erasing the ini's yet.

Went back to 258 and it loads fine now.

I am having a problem when trying to run emulated games. It asks for where the games are and I point it to the USB and it shows the WiiFlow ... startup screen and then freezes with 2 dots displayed. Tried it a couple of times with the same result. Should I try clearing my ini file or has anyone else had the same problem. Thanks.

Update: I deleted my .ini file and it ran the SNES/VBA games with no problem. However it is failing to return to the WiiFlow menu on exiting from the emulated game. And yes I did re-enable return to WiiFlow in the options after erasing the .ini and starting clean.

My wiiflow/plugins folder does contain the WiiFlowLoader.dol file.

I am running everything from USB (2TB FAT32).

Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks!
What .ini you erased? I have this s problem too, freeze in startup screen after select usb partition on emulator mode.
The wiiflow.ini file in the apps/wiiflow folder.
I delete that but freeze again...

Edit: Ok, i deleted some plugins i don't use and work ok now.

where can i download the latest stable release? google code page does not show any compiled releases. i currently have wiiflow 2.2 (r415) installed with ios 249 base 56 v7.

thanks in advance

You can download the new boot.dol that goes in your apps/wiiflow folder from:

http://code.google.com/p/open-wiiflow-mod/downloads/list

The latest release is r258. If you are into emulation like SNES/VBA games etc - you can now see them in WiiFlow and play them. Just install the Plugins pack from that same page. You should probably also update to the 'd2X v8 final cIOS'. I can't give you a link for that but Google what I have in single quotes and you will find the WAD's/installer for it.

You may use devkitppc r25, if you don't know get devkitppc r24 from here, place it into your devkitpro folder, delete the existing devkitppc folder, run the r24 installer and let it extract.

Hello and thanks everyone for all their enthusiasm and hard work. i'm a huge lover and follower of the latest iterations of wiiflow, but I've not kept up for a couple of months or so. i've just returned to the thread, and frankly, i'm a bit confused about the current file structure and latest config files etc.
Can i suggest a responsible adult starts a new thread for wiiflow Mod, opening with the file structure for covers, plugins etc. and perhaps links to the latest .ini's?

Just a snapshot of where we're at, moving forward type thing.

p.s. i really don't want to step on anyone's toes, just a suggestion from a fan.
p.p.s. really am loving your work.
Can i suggest you don't use sentences like the one in red, you will only piss off people with this line.

That said, it could well be time to make a good setup and install wizard for wiiflow, i suggest putting it in the wiki page on the google code page, now the wiiflowiki page is part of Wiiflow advanced.
I was planning on doing it myself in the next month, but if somebody vollunteers for the job?

This Wiiflow topic however stays, it is already decided...
hey sorry, i'm british, i use irony, a lot, too much in fact. i'll use inverted commas and a smiley next time. sorry for any offense.
well as it's "already been decided" that this 418 page topic suits the needs of the inner circle, could ask that a kind hearted soul offer up simple description of the state of things for us [irony]mere mortals[/irony]? just a file structure for all the requisite ini, covers etc.
really, please don't take a fence.

OK, i admit i probably jumped to the gun to soon too, but that's because a lot already happened with wiiflow (and people involved) lately.
Now that i know what you mean, no fence taken... ;)

Maybe FIX94 can provide you with a short file structure for now.. :P

You may use devkitppc r25, if you don't know get devkitppc r24 from here, place it into your devkitpro folder, delete the existing devkitppc folder, run the r24 installer and let it extract.
Thanks. I pulled down r25 and installed per your note and then built r261 but I got a stack dump when trying to launch it. I then reverted to r260 and built it and got the same problem. Just downloaded and installed r24 from the link you supplied and built r260 and get a stack dump again. Updated to r261, compiled and get the same stack dump.

Any thoughts? Looks like I can't built anything now :(

Sup peoples, had a question about Wiiflow's emulator features and if it will work with my current setup.

I'm currently set up with 2 partitions where I have both the apps/wiiflow_advanced & /wiiflow_advanced folder on my 2nd partitions (NTFS), my first partition (FAT32) contains my emunand (/flownand/), savegame emulation and WW/VC being my primary focus.

I want to try out the latest rev of Wiiflow (currently using rev229 still lol :P) and just used tortoise SVN to to update to rev261. However, I see much has changed as to what you need to compile and before I change/delete/add anything to the way I build the dol's I want to make sure it'll even work. E.g., earlier I read that people were having issues with the emulators unless they put necessary files on SD card.

So can I run WiiFlow and still have the emulators plug-in feature work from USB with the way I have things setup or is it incompatible? Will I have to move all the files so that they're on a single Fat32 partition or possibly have to move some things over to my SD card?

I wiped my devkit setup and reinstalled everything and pulled down a clean copy of the source and it works now. Phew!

It is hanging when I switch to emulation. I have about 5100 SNES/VBA and FCEUGX games. I will try removing most to see if I have too many.

Also - my Wiimote controller is no longer synching up quickly as it had in the past. I'm thinking I missed something when I rebuilt my devKit but am not sure what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Finally figured out my issue getting r258 to run emulator mode properly. I forgot to delete the two scumm links in the new plugin list being I have none on my hard drive. That's why it was freezing all the time. Everything works now with only the 1-2 minutes delay loading the roms on emulator mode being a minor issue now. Thanks for the awesome update!!

I personally updated straight from r159 to r249 in one shot. There shouldn't be too much complication with that. My setup is pretty similar to yours adding the detail that I was already using the emulators the old fashioned way with THEIR .dol files and roms already on my fat32 partition. (Not sure if that matters)
Here's what my process was:
1. Create a folder "fat32:/wiiflow/plugins/" and put the plugins in there.
2. Drop the new WiiFlow "boot.dol" into "ntfs:/apps/wiiflow" overwriting the old one.
3. run WiiFlow.
4. go to the emulator coverflow.
5. set the partition from USB2 to USB1.
6. Done.

I haven't tested it THOROUGHLY but it does seem to work fine with my first little trials.

Is there a way to make a custom file for wiiflow to show your favorite games on start up
an example would be

USB2/fceugx/roms/Super Mario Bros.nes
USB2/snes9xgx/roms/Super Mario World.smc
SD/Gamecube/Super Mario Sunshine.iso
USB1/NSMBW6 (usb1 is wbfs on my setup, it would be New Super Mario Wii)
SDGECKO/Gamecube/Luigi's Mansion.iso
USB2/Nand/Tetris Party
Wii/Nand/Contra Rebirth

Then You can see the games you really want to play all right there on one list, and in the order you want. Just an idea.

Wiiflow rox!

Awesome man thanks a lot. It does sound easy enough and we both do have the same setup since I also have the emulator cover mods dols/roms/covers on my first partition as well :-) i'm going to compile my own dol and see how it works and I'll post my results here.

Only thing is I now need to update some devkit shit but it shouldn't be too bad.

I've noticed that when copying a gamecube game to my sd that the music stops, is there any way to fix this? Also, I think it would be nice to add subfolder support to wiiflow. For example, I like to have my music separated by artist/album, and I like to keep my hacked games separate from the rest of them. I'm also eager to see Wiisx and HUGO, or Wiimednefan added to the emulators. Great job guys, keep up the good work :D

DOSBox, should be added too. The jackets will be a pain though. PC games never had a default size and thickness.
