For those of us that haven't been following, what are the new features? Do we have a timeline for release?

Thanks,
Dave

1.Bug Fixes
2.Fan Art
3.Channel loading from wiiflow
4.Emulated Nand loading from Wiiflow.

In that order, with the next release being when the current bugs are fixed.

What is the difference between "Channel loading from wiiflow" and "Emulated Nand loading from Wiiflow" ?

I mean can Wiiflow run wiware from emulated SD / USB nand now ?

What is the use of "Emulated Nand loading from Wiiflow" ?

Channel loading is loading channels installed on your wii's nand. This is already implemented in the beta.
Nand emulation would be loading nand from a sd/usb like sneek, and this is a long way off.

very much looking forward to the release. this has been a great loader so far. thanks for all the work.

I can only confirm the above... I switched to this loader since about a week and have been happy since then

The only downside I have found out, is that covers download a little bit slowly.

Thanx for your lighting !
And wiiflow is ma favorite usbloader even without these new features !
Good job and the wii scene is really the best creative and astonishing console scene !
Great communitty full of ideas & inovation, help and share. I also follow the 360 & PS3 scene but it s so dead...

Dont expect loading channels from an emulated nand until this or a furture release has proven extremely stable.

We are down to 2 bugs only now, one of which is common to the big 3 loaders which is that *.wbfs files >4gb cannot be loadedm and our bug is that *.iso is not loading either. We are working fast to fix this (even tho most people have their wbfs files split at 2gb or 4gb and almost never use *.iso on ntfs).

Fanart is coming along nicely with the capability of using 7 pictures in total (one is a background),and has delay and alpha capability already. It uses an ini for each fanart. r-win is finishing up adding effects and motion to the images and also has made a windows program for displaying and editting fanarts!

Jiiwah has made up a new theme template to share with new themers.

In the future I have some crazy ideas that should make this even greater than it already is.

Until next time kids, same bat time, same bat channel.....

I sould be more specific with my question.Wiiflow supports loading Wiiware and VC channels from Wii's nand.Does this mean that the channels should be installed in Wii's internal memory or Wii's SD card?

They must be on the wii's internal nand.

Hi everyone,

I am a Wiiflow user and have been following this thread. I currently use WiiBackupManager to convert my *.iso files to *.wbfs files and store them on a FAT32 usb external. The *.wbfs files get stored in a wbfs folder in the format gameid.wbfs. However it seems that folks are talking about playing *.iso files directly with Wiiflow. How does this work? Do the iso's still get placed in the wbfs folder or do I need to create an iso folder? Is the naming convention gameid.iso? Is this functionality working in R43 for iso's on a FAT32 partition? Thanks...

.iso's only load from ntfs, otherwise the name convention is the exact same as .wbfs files, but the game ending in .iso.

It looks good , but that's not really what i was expecting...
I expected something much more simple :
- when you browse covers on the coverflow , it dispalys a dedicated background for each cover.
- when you stay on a cover , this dedicated background changes , like every 5 seconds , with a transition effect.
- to activate this , just put pictures with 4 ID names in the fanart folder.

That is what i expected , from what i can see on the video , the cover is disabled when the game uses a fanart...

I just fixed *.iso support today, and playing of files >4gb so those bugs are fixed and an be used in the next rev. The iso goes in the wbfs folder and is GAMEID.iso

The hiding of the boxcover is optional to the designer of each individual fanart.
