sorry. ha. have to do it again. Alright I fixed the occasional - and 's naming error by taking a copy of name and removing all -,'s, and spaces and see if they match. Now I'll work on the did you mean dialogue for the covers that still cant be found.

Need some assistance on this one guys how come if i go into MplayerCE from homebrew i can adjust the screen size during a movie but can't do it when i watch a movie on MplayerCE through wiiflow

I think the plugins is outdated. the plugins pack needs to be updated somehow. I think its an app of its own meaning it doesn't use mplayerce from the actual sd card. my plugins always popup that there's an update when I go to an emulator but when I update it and go back, it pops up again that there's an update. so the plugins has a version of which they didn't get the adjust screen settings yet.

hmm. This could work if I knew how to convers the covers to wfc and instead put the wfc in the cache. even if there's not cover in the boxcover folder, the image is still saved in the cache so a rebuild or download gametdb will not delete the wfc file. That's something I need to look into
I changed the folder name on my boxcover folders so the cache wouldn't rebuild and take forever to load at the moment, so the images I already had in the cache, seeing that their location was no longer there, were removed. So as it is, if the image is no longer there, the wfc file is removed at next cache build.

hmm doesn't happen for me. i'm on 4.1.3. the directory for the covers should be wiiflow/boxcovers. for the roms it will be wiiflow/boxcovers/*emulator name*. THis usually happens for my rom covers wen I download GameTDB and reload cache. I didn't check for the wii covers though.

wiiflow will not delete the cache files once created.
I asked about the wfc files long time ago and didn't find any tool to help building these files on PC.
On the other hand you can use Dolphin to create them using a virtual SD card and imgtools but this is not the perfect way to do it. I hope someone makes an easy png/jpg to wfc converter for PC

AbdallahTerro (not sure I got this name callout working)....

would it be possible (if feasible) to put a fully build cache folder into the next Masterpack? It could be prebuilt will all current rom, wii & wiiware covers from gametdb cover pack and also from the cover thread. This could be a really beneficial inclusion and people could easily just rename any rom they have to match the image name.

@Soupamann66 could you rework the cover2rom to go backwards...assuming a prebuild cache AbdallahTerro finds to be a good idea?

I renamed my fceugx folder to 1fceugx...now it no longer looks to build more image cache files since the folder name is different. I am almost positive it removed the images for the roms I had built before the folder name change but hell, I may be wrong. Ill look tonight and see what happened.

if a premade wfc folder is created, it will work if you use that folder instead for the covers directory. wait, no. there would be a namming duplicate error. I will need to make options to fix it but yeah, its possible

In an ideal world, I would prefer adding a tiny tool that creates the cache files.
However if no luck, don't have to be a fully built cache folder but emulator specific tiny cache addon packs which would fit more on Mastershoe's cover thread
This is genius...and we can share wfc files as they are not actually a rom or anything, so we need someone who has fully built their cache for each given set of covers to post it on Mastershoes...Ill post this there too.

Could you possibly set the Cover2rom to look all child folders inside parent directory for roms? I have my roms in seperate folders by Letter. I tried to click just parent folder but it found no roms. I can rerun for every letter, but you may be able to fix this rather easy. I would assume some others are like this with the 1000 limit per folder restriction. Thanks

I can try that, but that will be after I finish the dialogue, which shouldn't be long. does your saves work like that, with subfolders?

Thanks bro i hope it gets updated soon ive been on a movie kick lately lol

I just updated Cover - 2 - Rom to 1.3. Again its an executable Jar file which you can open like any exe file, with a double click.
This version includes:
directory will not be deleted from box
fixes recognition of close to similar titles.
pop up "Did you mean" dialogue for unfounded titles. if found, will use. if not, it will be ignored.

http://tspiller.webs.com/apps/blog/show/30019283-cover-2-rom

Everything should be fixed except for the finding files in folder. I will work on that.
Again, try it out on a sample folder before you use it on all your files to test it out.

I have almost all the cache files setup from Mastershoes cover thread minus a few golf and Barbie games :P for every system except PS1, DS & Saturn. I have a few games for each of those systems however not the full setup.

I'm not sure how efficient this would be if u need to change the same cover for let's say a custom one u still have to delete cache or it won't register the new image, no matter what. And yes contrary to popular belief some people do delete games ;P lol if this is about Savin space what about using the compress cache option in the WiiFlow.ini?

soupa As for your cover/cache vs. space issue, there's an option in wiiflow.ini inthe [GENERAL] section that's something like keepPNG=yes (don't remember exactly, but something like that.) If you change it to =no I think it might delete the image files as soon as it creates each cache file. It should help you not run out of space while WiiFlow's doing the conversion.

Also, I was wondering about your app (haven't tried it yet). How does it compare to the FuzzyRenameEXT that's on the OP of the cover thread? What's the pros and cons of using each?

Doing my SG-1000 covers next, going to try out 1.3, +1 for subfolder support, great job thus far.

mines can rename the saves and gives suggestion listing it. For example. If your game is called Final Fantasy 3. It will pop up suggestion from the cover folder. Once selected it will use it. This program uses the original final fantasy and goes with it. even if you modify it, the same image will be used. although you can delete incorrect selections.

I am still figuring out how to use folder chooser dialogue in java, so thats not there yet. Mine doesn't have the list of the roms with their cover counterpart.
