hello FIX94, can you explain me how to see the Megadrive roms and how to make to see separately GBA games,SNES, NES e N64
i'm using the R280 on HD in FAT32. I don't speack english very well, so can you explain it so that i can understand or you can sand me the link and tell me where to put them.
i don't understand libogc and devkitPPC. I would like to play the children. Thanks.

in the plugins directory for genesis.ini it has the file types, it is set up only for .gen and .zip files. Simply add .md into that text file

Wiiflow is surely in apps/wiiflow? And you have IOS58 installed?

yes, and yes. strange thing is, when i installed the forwarder itself, it all of a sudden works, well, sometimes xd

perhaps someone can make a priloader dol? pretty please? :P
Easy, you just extract the dol from the forwarder wad with customizemii..

I just last night compiled r275 with the latest PPC26 and libogc. What a difference. :yay:
No more buggy cached image rebuilding, no dumps (I would usually get 3 or 4 before the hundreds of images were cached again).
Scrolling through the games now is ridiculously fast and has not DSI crashed yet, which is amazing.

The previous r262 I compiled with the previous libogc was extremely buggy and crashed a lot with a completely clean install, but this new version/compiler is top notch, so far.
Great work guys!!!

Looks like the latest rev no longer crashes for me. MEM2 usage is normal (as compared to full and crashing.) No memory leaks when reloading covers or playing the banner sounds. I have not tested the plugins or NAND.

You may want to look at my changes here because the same problems in plus are found in mod:

empty gametdb fields not being cleared

Something weird i found testing out 282, is that fceugx wouldn't display any roms past the letter "M" for me. When I switched back to 258 they were there.. Didn't have this issue with any other emu's, just fceugx.

I tried 282 the other night. Things are gettin better :D But one thing that keeps bugging me is when I'm in plugin magic mode and I try to search through the roms using B+Dpad, it switches out of plugin magic mode. Any fixes for this?

okay, for everyone that's been wanting to be able use categories for emu mode try this boot.dol

make sure you backup your current wiiflow boot dol and categories.ini before trying.

http://www.mediafire.com/?o85vd6srt380mdb

it's wiiflow wip r285 with my attempt at a fix for categories.

I've tried it and seems to be working fine for me. I do not have scummvm though.

OK I am really having trouble setting this up. I can normally figure these things out but.........after a cpl days of reading/trying I FAIL!!

I am using R258 with plugins pack, D2x v8 final. I have tried wiiflow and Gen plus both from USB1 and SD. USB is dual fat32 partitions, SD is 8 GB SanDiskSD. plugins path= wiiflow/plugins.
I have replaced the Genplus boot.dol with the one from plugins pack and it will run the Devmod version directly from forwarder or HBC. When booting from wiiflow, when I get to Emulators(via cauldron icon) it asks to select partition constantly whether I have it on SD or USB1 it does not see emus.

I am officially lost :(
The first problem I see is that it is not the cauldron icon. It's the blue icon that looks like am old video game controller. If I remember right it comes AFTER the cauldron icon so you have to press it one more time.
With me, at least, it doesn't matter as much where WiiFlow itself is as much as long as the ROM's are on the same partition as the "plugins" folder and in WiiFlow, the partition setting for the emu section is set to that same partition.

My setup:
I think I had mentioned something else in a previous post but my drive formats are actually this:
SD: 4gb SDHC FAT32 64k clusters
HDD: 500gb (2 primary partitions)
-USB1: (32gb) FAT32 64k clusters
-USB2: (the rest of the 500gb) FAT32 64k clusters

SD:/apps/genplus/boot.dol (original GenPlus app)

USB1:/wiiflow/plugins/ (all the plugin DOL's and INI's)
USB1:/genplus/roms/ (all the actual ROM's themselves)

USB2:/apps/wiiflow/boot.dol
USB2:/wiiflow/ (all the rest of the wiiflow settings and files)

in the emulator page for WiiFlow my partition is set to USB1

check this :

wiiflow.ini :

[GENERAL]
dir_plugins=usb1:/wiiflow/plugins

in plugin folder :
(example) for genplus.ini :

[PLUGIN]
romDir=genplus/roms/

rom format accepted : .gen and .zip

;)

Yeah, that's a good point. Make sure you add the format you're using to the INI file. If you are using .MD files, for example, you will have to add it to the INI file for it to show up.

Hi FIX94,

since Wiiflow is using miigotu's coverflow (and maybe even before that, not sure), back covers are really ugly, like a bad low resolution cover.
I've made some screenshots with the latest binaries of wiiflow-mod R288 (compiled with latest libogc/devkitppc) :

1/ sources untouched
DKCR : http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/260/dkcrnewcoverflow.png
RAYMAN : http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/6647/raymannewcoverflow.png

2/ coverflow.cpp/coverflow.h of R288 (wiiflow-mod) replaced with the old ones from Wiiflow R416 (official)
DKCR : http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/4933/dkcroldcoverflow.png
RAYMAN : http://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1597/raymanoldcoverflow.png

This is not a skin problem (tried also with the built-in skin) but it's much more visible with skins showing covers zoomed in. Of course, all my covers are fullHQ and the two builds use exactly the same setup (same INI, same parameters, same folders, somes sources except for coverflow.cpp/.h)

And it seems that wiiflow-mod loads full HQ cover only with the latest game that was launched on a previous session (when I relaunch wiiflow, this is the only cover that is good). All other back covers are low resolution.

Would be nice to take a look at that problem ^___^
thanks.

not that much FIX94 ;) ...using the old (R416) coverflow with your latest sources is fast enough with an higher buffer (between 30 and 50)
didn't see any speed difference with the official binaries (except it needs more buffer of course).

What's the point of using HQ covers if it's only displayed in low resolution ?
Faster is not always better, no ? :yay:

I am ultra positive for higher res back covers.

In other news,I recently upgraded to DML 1.3 using Wiiflow r288 with component Cables.

The shockingly bad news are that no longer some PAL 576i games work like Animal Crossong,BG&E,PoP WW and Skies of Arcadia Legends.I have a GC disk in the drive,I am not using NMM and my video mode settings are default.I tried to change video mode to PAL 576i but again none of these games worked. And I am pretty sure that all of these worked before using 1.3.

Has anyone managed to run them properly?Am I doing something wrong in the settings?

Thanks in advance!
