I used this, you launch it through HBL.
It worked for me and I'm on 5.5.1.

The elf version should work on it through the HB loader.

Why would you need to use WUP Installer on 5.5.1 if it's the latest version right now, I don't get it, just run the game and have it install the update normally

That quote comparison makes no sense whatsoever. I said I didn't want to try out full game title installing. Or in your case, "teh free gaems"...

May as well start getting used to it, imo.
We're going to have to do this once Nintendo pushes out a new update, so why not start now?
That and having to remove the Nintendo URL restrictions from my router each time would be annoying.

As I said above, WUPinstaller works on all firmwares.

Is there a way to boot the original Wii homebrew channel from the VC Wii wrapper. If you know what I mean. ;-P

Easy there.
It's been just a week since the leak, I say give it some more time, coding is not something you can do in the blink of an eye you know.
More so since they have to get used to the SDK and tools that are available for the Wii U.

Do you have an idea how much time a simple app development in such environment takes? Not forgetting that people have actual life/job/school, so they aren't necessarily developing for Wii U full time .

I've been paranoid about removing the tubehax dns on the Wii U ever since December so I have been without Splatoon all this time in case a sneaky overnight update would screw me over. I'm very glad to have used WUPinstaller and having online again.

Now all that's left is figuring out how to get the fundoshi back into XCX with a legitimate copy.
