I've been reviewing this morning what I put out yesterday and decrypting this phrase

"The quick brown fox jumps over 13 lazy dogs."

:cry::nayps3:
I don't get it.
Are you saying "8A 44 03 C7 38 E2 2F 8B 7E AF 74 50 41 58 CB 51 7F CF CE CD 02 CD E6 58 10 44 D6 B9 6E 9E 87 EE C1 65 D1 43 2C 97 A8 EE 5E 51 4E FB 62 25 A2 2D"
= "The quick brown fox jumps over 13 lazy dogs."

The first one is 48 characters long, the other is only 44
How do you figure?

The quick brown fox jumps over 13 lazy dogs."

That's what the font file says in the system file 0005001B-10042400 called "Fonts"

Well without the number 13.

Here this is what the CafeCn.ttf file says in the contents folder of the system app.

That's what every font file says if you open them with the windows font preview.
It's a common sentence often used for testing, samples and stuff like that. Or to waste your time, in this case.

When you pass the HEX code to Base64 gives you this:

Code:
VGhlJTIwcXVpY2slMjBicm93biUyMGZveCUyMGp1bXBzJTIwb3ZlciUyMDEzJTIwbGF6eSUyMGRvZ3Mu

This is base64 , and this now had to text, and get this:

Code:
The quick brown fox jumps over 13 lazy dogs.
I think maybe you using the Base64 decoder at http://cryptii.com ?
"The quick brown fox jumps over 13 lazy dogs" is the default string in that conversion program, no matter what hex digits you put in.

Code:
VGhlJTIwcXVpY2slMjBicm93biUyMGZveCUyMGp1bXBzJTIwb3ZlciUyMDEzJTIwbGF6eSUyMGRvZ3Mu
Base64 to Hex for that string would be
Code:
54 68 65 20 71 75 69 63 6b 20 62 72 6f 77 6e 20 66 6f 78 20 6a 75 6d 70 73 20 6f 76 65 72 20 31 33 20 6c 61 7a 79 20 64 6f 67 73 2e
or
Code:
56 47 68 6C 4A 54 49 77 63 58 56 70 59 32 73 6C 4D 6A 42 69 63 6D 39 33 62 69 55 79 4D 47 5A 76 65 43 55 79 4D 47 70 31 62 58 42 7A 4A 54 49 77 62 33 5A 6C 63 69 55 79 4D 44 45 7A 4A 54 49 77 62 47 46 36 65 53 55 79 4D 47 52 76 5A 33 4D 75

I used http://cryptii.com website to convert, but I think you're wrong in the process also have used other converters and all give me the same result, besides the user @KillzXGaming says it is a source file that is in the system of WiiU

I do not understand why you become Base64 to Hex, when actually the opposite is true , and the result in Base64 pass it to text, I think I explained in my previous post, make sure things before making statements.

And I could give further explanation in the original sentence is not the number 13 appears , however in the conversion appears.

You're welcome.
Sorry, but there is no way to get that base64 string from those hex digits.

The reason I knew you used cryptii.com is because it is the only place Ive seen that uses "The quick brown fox jumps over 13 lazy dogs" as the default text, and other people made the same mistake before.

That is not what the HEX digits say.

That's 96 characters, isn't that way too many for the 3 remaining keys?

Edit: Never mind, that's 32 characters each, so that's possible

    ewww key shops...
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Why do you really want to use key shops nowadays? You're not really paying towards the companies who provided the keys, plus its very sketchy.
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
https://gg.deals/game/bloodstained-ritual-of-the-night/ - I rather use the proper shops, but here are Key shops shown as well. They tell you the risks as well with each shop

One of the keyshops is 95% off at the moment (probably humble bundle keys)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
And a small percentage of keys bought with a stolen credit card.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
You never know if the key works or not, they don't provide a guarantee.
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
Sure is... and poor devs get hit with the charge backs

    Exactly.

Thor from "Pirate Software" said its just better to pirate the game than buy from a keyshop if you care about the devs

devs don't get hit with the chargebacks, the keys are free to generate

    at least on steam
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
Except he said the DEVS get hits with the chargeback cost
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
since the key gets bought with a stolen credit card
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If the game has a crack sure
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
