Nwplayer is the only person who can't be ban when it comes to kernel hack if he serious, when he said he's using a retail to hack splatoon online.

If that's true he is unbannable if Nintendo do ban wave on hacked consoles. What I don't get is if his console is retail how did he use unsigncode to mod splatoon? Thats the question we should be asking

If Nintendo had advanced on their old server checks from wii when hacked consoles went online then we all will be banned
Yes, it IS a retail console!
The kernel/IOSU exploits use a bug/hole in the webkit's/browser's code to get the higher priorities!

The principle is easy, doing it requires a lot of knowledge about exploiting bugs in code and about the Wii U's filesystem/OS etc!

I hate that bullshit mentality, "they should get the emulators on something else lol", I wish people stopped using that as an argument, it's stinks and I don't agree with it because it's the reason people get unmotivated.

Here are the reasons the Wii U should have homebrew emulators: One, the game pad,, being able to control the emulators on there, being able to control them instead of simply seeing them on the screen. Two, not everyone has or wants an Xbox, three, I don't have the money to spare since i barely started working, that, I don't want one. Four, if people want their emulators ported to the Wii U, you can't tell us what we want or don't want. Deal with it.

Why are you even suggesting this on a Nintendo console hacking thread? If people want emulators on the Wii U, that's their right, and besides, the Wii U is more powerful than the Xbox and Xbox 360, so...
Just because it's possible that something could possibly maybe eventually be done, doesn't mean it should be. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel on every new console. XBMC essentially perfected emulation, why mess with success?

Is everything running fine? Then why upgrade your console firmware? Is the medication you're taking actually working? The stop taking it.

Tldr: stop, just stop.

Tell me how on earth are you running unsigned code on a retail lol it's so mind boggling
is it a really bad flaw in sercurity

It's multiple flaws in security: a bug in the web browser that lets us control where the CPU jumps to, and then a bug in the kernel that lets us write to its memory (this is something that should not happen). Two security bugs can get you quite far.

Quick question. I know that you need 5.4.0 to play Splatoon online, but if I have opnDNS blocking the update, can I play online in Mario Kart while being on 5.3.2? I ask because I have my Wii U disconnected from the internet entirely at the moment but I'm in the mood to play online.

First of all: Use URL blocking of your router, OpenDNS didn't work too long for most of the people!
And if you've got the newest version/update of MK8 on your console, it should work! ;)

Meh, I updated my Wii U anyway. OpenDNS still works like a charm for my 3DS. It looks like the only hacks so far for Wii U are all related to cheating and other bullshit online so I don't even mind updating because that doesn't interest me.

Who? Me? Not one bit. I don't own a wii u and idc what you do at all. I was just making the point that you shouldnt blab everything online.
Go ahead, cheat online, show your haxx, hell even screw my ex wife.
You sound upset, though.
He is not ruining online in the MKWii tense. He is showing what is possible to do with a kernel exploit, and cheats (I believe none are going to released for online use) are one of the possibilities.

I know NWP is HIGHLY intelligent, but his post almost sounded like that he was a little surprised by the outcome. He, and everyone else who is contributing to the hacking, should obviously know that they are under a microscope. Foolishly bragging/stating online about the hacks that he/they have done/are doing, is just asking for the result that he got. I fully support all that everyone is doing. I wish i could purchase a wii u myself so i could contribute.

But in case there is any question, i did not report what NWP. i am too busy caring for 6 children to troll someones efforts that i am anticipating the end result for.
