I'll buy it soon, in July.
I'll first wait for some reviews to appear, see if it's any good and then I'll buy 2 and probably with a game that deserves some support (MadWorld, Kororinpa, PES 2009, Deadly Creatures or Punch-Out!!)

It will be good. I only hope that the price won't go up due to the crazy selling.

they can probably get them for half the price Nintendo sells them at...since it's a small item, shipping cost wouldn't matter
What makes you think DX will have it for a decent price?

DX gets small, mostly unbranded products and sells them cheaply as it can buy in bulk. OEM gaming parts have a specific RRP and so aren't going to be sold for anything significantly less.

What you might get are cheap imitations, but as it is a complex bit of technology, they will take a long time to appear and to drop in price.

Well majority of the overpriced stuff are the really large stuff (ie. wii fit balance board, guitar for guitar hero, etc.) the price of the small item's are relatively cheap. The OEM wiimotes, nunchuck, zapper, etc. are all more than half the price of the Nintendo stuff. I guess it also depends on which country you're in. Every company loves to rip Canadians off for some weird reason...so our stuff over here are usually overpriced when compared to the states and especially in Ontario where the sales tax is absolutely brutal.

I remember the maker of the motionplus add-on saying that it was a relatively simply technology so it won't be that expensive to make...I'll just wait and see how it goes on the DX comment system.

As far as DX shipping goes, I've actually never had a problem with it. I always get my stuff under 2 weeks (and I live on the other side of this planet!) not sure why everyone else is having such hassles; probably because they keep buying back-ordered products...

Exactly my thought. And the waiting probably won't be that bad, since you need time to see how well it turns out to be anyway. A month waiting for it would be enough to see how well the launch games that supports M+ do. Somehow I doubt that DX will have Wii M+ before July. They need time to make copies of such thing. =)
QUOTE(bytor @ Jun 2 2009, 02:00 AM) I'd say buying it was a no-brainer. Tiger Woods 2010 should be as close as you can get to playing the real thing without actually playing the real thing lol. And more importantly, you'll all have to buy it to play this beauty

I loved the first one, and going by the hands-on the sequel is going to be a corker

I don't think the game will look that good. That's probably just some movie/cut scene in-game.

Nope, it's all in-game action not a cut scene...it really does look that good. The game apparently is locked at an astonishing 60fps too which is bloody impressive. There's a video of the E3 demo walkthrough here.

@Satangel: None of those games you've listed are compatible with MotionPlus, it's not backwards compatible unfortunately. The games I'm aware of coming up that'll support it are Tiger Woods 2010, both tennis games and Red Steel 2.

Speaking of Red Steel 2, I believe the attachment is "required" for that game, so basically you can't play it unless you have it. Unless I misheard. I'm hoping its not a complete flop, because if it works as good as they say, the potential is significantly larger in my opinion. First of all someone needs to release a lightsaber game thats not complete fail (-sigh clone wars-).

yep

1:1 lightsaber star wars will be the awesomest game ever

If LucasArts haven't had a developer working on a MotionPlus Star Wars game since MotionPlus was announced last year then they seriously need their bumps felt. I'm hoping for a 1:1 MotionPlus light saber game at the end of 2010 at the latest.

All hands-on reports of Wii Sports Resort I've read so far have been glowing, it's been getting a very positive response so far.

Is it true 1:1?

Cause all I've been hearing since the sony press conference is that their "original" "new" controller has true 1:1 and is a lot better than wii motion plus :S

Yup, it is true 1:1 control for Wii Sports at least as far as I've heard. Same goes for Red Steel 2. Of course it all comes down to what dev tools they're using and the skill of the programmers. I'm pretty sure that some games implemeting MotionPlus will have maybe a half a second lag but that'll be a fault at the software level, not with the hardware.
