I installed the Cyclonwiz 1.2 a couple of months ago,
Recently the chip stoped working out of the blue,
I opened up the console and powered on to see the status of the chip (using the small led).
sure enough it was flashing to indicate some sort of short.
This is where i got stupid, instead of powering off and testing the conections safely, i was lazy and simply pushed down on each conection while there was power to see which point had seperated, sure enough I bridged the optional wire leading from the cyclonwiz for stealth mode onto one of the other points of the chip.
SO...
the systeme runs fine,(both bofore i complealty removed the trashed cyclon and after the full removeal)
however there is now no power running to the DVD drive, no motor action, laser reading, ejection.
i've heard there is a fuse somewhere on the DVD controler board that is usualy the culprit to this and that is can be bridged or replaced, does anyone know of this, are there even pictures of the fuse online??
Thanks
