Hi all,

I'am a french programmer. I'am looking for a way to generate a Wii iso from a dol generated via devkitpro or a WII hb dol file.

I have seen wit tool. I use also the composition template as iso basis (open apploader). The ISO works fine on dolphin. On wiiscrubber i see the right partition and the region is the same asmy wii region (PAL).

When testing it on my wii via a chip (wode), there is a region mismatch or the iso is not recognized... I need help plz to build this ISO.
Note : i would appreciate comments or information related to wit and an "open" ISO file. I have tested to replace the main.dol in various games ISO without success..

Thanks in advance,

Smyll.

PS : if there is some need in dev I can help

There's an ISO template somewhere on Hackmii.com. http://hackmii.com/2008/08/open-source-app...r-iso-template/

In fact I use the composition directory found on wit web site (http://wit.wiimm.de/info/composing.html at the bottom of the page 6.) But i think i am doing something wrong

i.e. Do we have to change the apploader of this template ?

To use this iso, should I first extract all files to then compose the iso ? Because I would like to change the dol file and add pictures...

do you know a tuto or an exemple of a composition directory that works on a Wii ?

That could help me...

Here is my wit command :
$ wit copy --region EUROPE --id RxxPx --name 'MaRom' -all composing-template toto.iso

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol

I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol

So that version is semi rare
