You Brits don't have a right to complain about gas prices since the majority of your price comes from taxes, that's your own damn fault for not fighting bills that allow higher gas taxes. Not to mention that most Europeans don't commute 60 to 120 miles a day back and forth to work. The amount of dumb here hurts my brain.

Hey, don't be a discriminative bastard! Not being mean, but you have no right to say that unless you were born there, and lived your life there, they might not have control over everything!

The British can only vote for members of the House of Commons, every 5 years. House of Lords members are elected by past members. So don't blame the Brits.

Plus, the U.S. is retarded for its suburban sprawl. It will have to end sooner or later. Living close to or in cities is much more convenient, energy- and money-wise, and it's much better for the environment. It's the U.S.' fault for having shitty ass public transportation system (or lackthereof)

UK£ 1.09900 = 2.1673379 U.S. dollars

1 Litre = 3.785411784 Gallons.

Basically, we pay $8.2 a Gallon.

I think you have your math a little backwards...

if 1L = 3.8G
and 1.09£ = $2.17
and you pay 109p per L

3.8G / $2.17 = $0.57 per gallon

I think you have your Litre to Gallon ratio mixed up.

I just did a conversion with XE.com, and 1£ = $1.97 (8/3/08 at 11:30PM Eastern US time)

and you got the Liter to Gallon backwards.

So, 3.8L = 1Gallon
and 1£ = $1.97
That's $7.48 a gallon.

Still almost double... wow...

Yes, because it's so easy to have a public transportation system comparable to England's, when their whole country ISN'T EVEN THE SIZE OF TEXAS.

Why not put a UPS in line? It would essentially convert your generator to a hybrid which conserves fuel and should solve your power issue.

note to self... don't go out and buy $800-$1000 generator that needs $4.00/gallon gasoline to play my Wii...

GOT IT!!

Thanks!

Actually the generator was $134.00 but just to give you guys a heads up, I tried both the SNES and Genesis emus and they both work without any issues. The NES emu loads up to the main menu but every time I go to load a rom from the SD card, I get something called an SD card error 0. GeeBox wont load. It loses input but then again I can try without using component cables. The Wii never turns off when I go to load GeeBox, it just looses the picture. Finally, GuitarFun works without any issues. I'm at work now so I cant do any more testing but I'll give you peeps more info later on

I'm surprised no one has pointed this out yet. The reason gas is more expensive in the UK is because the US has its own oil refineries.

Yeah, the US is a lot bigger with a lot more people living in it.

We pay about 82% tax on our petrol, from what I can make out you guys pay about 15% tax.

We're getting rid of one car soon, it's just not viable for me and my girlfriend to both have one.

And you guys have to pay for the companies to refine your oil.
