Hacking Wii Backup UN-Patcher?

Hi,

is it possible to UN-patch a Wii backup to restore the original ISO file?
(maybe someone will create a backup launcher that doesnt need pathed iso's..)

The reason that you can't "unpatch" it is beacuse the patcher decrypts the disc (can be somewhat put back) and removes the update partition (can't be put back).

Well in some cases there would be no need to "un-patch" a partition, as the patcher just makes a copy of the original with the unneeded update data. So unless you have the original ISO then you will have to dump the game again to get the original ISO....

keeping a diff file is nearly the same as keeping the originale ISO, since it's a decrypt process, the diff file would be really big.. nearly as big as the original one.

well apart from decrypting the disc it adds the ticket to the header of the ISO, so i guess you could just delete that(to the correct byte of the origianl ISO) and then have an unencrypeted disc. thats like the only "unpatchable" way i can think of
