Its High Voltage Software and its a quickly made game, would it be any good?

Its actually not bad at all, just not exactly anything better than average. Pretty much your cookie cutter 3rd person shooter but miles better than previous Iron Man games. Suffers from the same flaws as HVS's The Conduit (generic design, having to have to defeat a tedious amount of enemies to get out of a room and crap enemy AI).

Design is generic and so are the graphics, while not the worst on the Wii its nowhere near being the best. Iron Man has a sort of "mincing" walk on this so looks completely uncool. Sounds are again generic and the voice acting clearly sounds like its being done as a contract obligation rather than actors having a good time. Music...well here is that word again...Generic. Pretty much your bog standard "rawk" soundtrack, so boring that you'd hardly notice it.

Its worth a play while you wait for some other games and anyone who hasn't played Sin & Punishment 2 should go to that instead and maybe play this during a time where there isn't anything to play. Its hard to recommend this game to anyone, it just exists as a cash in but at least HVS has put effort into it despite its short dev time. In fact I wager that this wasn't done by the full team, they were probably working on various other games while a few temps did this but at least its not horrible.

5.5/10

Well, it is horrible in a sense that when you play it, you feel like you should spend your time doing better stuff.

But 5.5/10 is a rather coherent score for this game.

Ill keep it in my HD in case the kids come around.

I will add my 2 cents. Iron Man 2 is nothing earth shattering, but it controls well and is kinda fun to play if you aren't burned out of 3rd person shooters. Since I play mostly on the Wii I am not burned out of them. If I played xbox a lot or pc I probably wouldnt be very impressed.. as a Wii game of this type it's fun. It's worth burning, but it's not worth whatever it is retailing for unless you are a huge fan of Iron Man. I would say 15 bucks used is a fair price. I will probably finish this one if it doesnt get too frustrating, so that should tell you something... that is, unless I get my hands on Mario Galaxy 2 first..

    It's not a Nintendo / iQue official product, it's a 3rd party custom.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
