i'm playing the jap non-"plus" version for almost 2 years by now


what's new in the "Plus"-version:
- 2 more fighters (Kliff Undersn and Justice)
- vs-mode is now 3vs3 (Guilty Gear XX Accent Core was 2vs2)
- story mode
- re-tuned survival mode

the old one was Wiimote+Nunchuk only (which sucked!)

a Classic-Controller or at least a Gamecube-Controller is highly recomended

I never bought a Classic-Controller and i wouldn't buy one at the moment because i'd wait for the Classic-Controller PRO:

I've got 3 GC-Controllers and this one:

"Thrustmaster Wii Wireless Classic Controller"
this is a GC-Controller too but it's the Classic-Controller design.
I'm using this one for all the emulators (SNES, NES, MEGA DRIVE / GENESIS, PC-ENGINE,...) and for some fighting games like Guilty Gear, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, King of Fighters Collection, ...

Umm, i was playing the old one 3 mins ago with the gamecube controller..

Might get this cus it actually has a story mode.

You forgot this controller. The Hori Arcade stick.

I bought one not too long ago.
Loving it and works fine with the first Wii Accent core.

Wish it had analong support for some smash bros crazy ness, but it kicks ass on my PC with MAME via bluetooth and glovepie.

Been waiting for the Plus version for some time now.
Was contemplating buying the first, though I might wait for the Plus version to lower in price.
I mean, its been out for over a year or two in Japan. I'm not paying fifty bucks for an old game.

I'm hoping that Classic Controller pro comes to the states.
Also the first Accent Core was "Nunchuck+Wiimote, Classic pad, and GCN" compatable. So this one is too.

Still kinda wish Street Fighter 3, Alpha 3 and Street fighter 4 would get wii ports.
Hopefully before the first two are eventually emulated xD.

I wonder if the story mode makes any sense this time >.>

The Hori Arcade Stick looks good but it doesn't work with Tatsunoko vs Capcom and that is very sad.

@shadow1w2 the game is 30 bucks new, and it looks like only a very few stores have it.

When TvsC came out 2 or 3 users said their Hori Arcade Stick doesn't work with TvsC

i can confirm that tvc is playable with the hori sticks, eaven with two hori sticks....

I have, or had, a problem with this game, using USB Loader (various, including USBLoader GX, Wanin's official 1.4, etc.)

Anyways, when I first turn on the game, it works fine. I play through all modes no problems. Turn it off, turn it on again, works fine.

However, after awhile, it doesn't want to boot. It always goes into a black screen after the "Checking for saved date" deal. The only way it works again is if I delete my GGACP data, and start all over.

Now, since this game doesn't have unlockables, and everything is open to you from the start, this doesn't really seem to have many disadvantages. However, it does get annoy7ing having to delete the save data now and then, specially after I spend some time in Mission Mode.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I use my Hori Stick on just about everything I can get my hands on.
TvsC working like a charm.

After playing the first game, I just feel like I'd rather play X-men vs Streetfighter on PSX...

Maybe I will enjoy it more with better control options.

You don't need a PAL version, this US version works fine on PAL.


Game is pretty good but you don't need it if you have the first one already.
