Howdy y'all.
I seem to have broke something when installing my hwfly chip on my V1 switch. It happened when taking off the heat cover.

Sorry, I know it's not the best picture. I took this before I tried re-attaching it. - I ended up losing it after multiple failed attempts to re-attach.

What is the part & Does anyone have any suggestions on how to re-attach it? It's so small it kept wanting to stick to the iron when I lifted it.

Thanks

Probably a capacitor but just show the picture in the Picofly thread.

Enough experts there that have seen about any kind of havoc.
Maybe don't say you tried to install a HWFly because the thread is for the Picofly.
Just humbly say you broke something when removing the heatsink.

If you have time on your hands just go through the messages because you're probably not the first one.
B-)

had the same error after i installed my picofly :D found the solution here.

gbatemp.net/threads/no-wifi-on-switch-after-hwfly-install-2110-1118-error.614615/

i just cut the trace which i could easy restore.

its a 0201 100nf capacitor

also check if the traces right from the big cap above are still good

Is that a solder blob bridging something or did the capacitor get knocked off? Either way the solution is to replace it. Those two capacitors connect the wireless chip to the SOC. Common failure usually from attempting to remove the shield over the SOC and RAM.

It was knocked off, just a bad picture. Thanks for the replies, I ordered some new capacitors and am waiting for them to arrive.
