It is a win win situation for the Orange Pedo in the white house and his allies / minions.

If they go to war with Venezuela (that is the dream for this administration imho), Trump and Companies can invoque some "war powers" and seize control of the USA for good.
Sure they will meet some resistance but let just be pragmatic here, so far they have done a lot of bad things no other administration did in the short lived years of you country, and always got away with it. So yes i believe this is the end game of those in power.
Plus Trump can gloat that hes fighting for Venezuelans freedom against Maduro's corrupt regime (lol the hypocrisy will be just the cherry on top).

If the piece of sh*t Maduro does not take the bait (and i hope he doesn't), its also a win for Trump since they will just seize the Oil and the ships and probably find a way to get even richer in the process.

I'm curious to hear what you think of Finland, Denmark, Iceland, and Sweden. No squirming out and trying to say they're not true" socialism. If your definition is that nobody owns anything, then I can't think of any country that's truly socialist. Socialism and Capitalism are two sides of the same coin. When used properly, things can be great for the people. Once you bring greed into it, both of them turn to shit.

Right now, America is to Capitalism as Venezuela is to socialism. Both let greed at the top win. America WAS a bastion for how to do Capitalism right when their middle class was extremely strong, but that's not the case anymore.

Private companies still operate there. And the definition of socialsm isn't that "nobody owns anything" its that the governmet owns everything. Also greed isn't, nor has it ever been a factor. All systems should assume the following - there is a substancial portion of the general population that do not operate on morality and will do exactly as much as the system allows them to get away with. And wellfare is the first thing they will exploit.
