I'm already on record saying if they were truly drug traffickers, I don't care if they died. But you and I aren't the government, and they're bound by strict rules. Allowing the obliteration of people they claim to be drug smugglers opens the doors to multiple other type of killings by the government without oversight. There has never been an issue with identifying boats and then seizing them. This is all to terrorize the country, nothing more.

So far they're up to around 29 bombings of boats. Are you positive they're all drug boats? Because as we all know, at one point, there were survivors that were taken and they were let go. Do you let drug smugglers go? No, that's an automatic red flag that they bombed innocent people.

The boats were also not "speeding towards the usa". There's no way those small boats could make that trip. Not nearly enough fuel in those little things.

Did any gov released any victim manifest or list? I haven't seen them yet. I will look into it. But if in these 29 boats there was 2 civilian boats, that's unfortunately collateral.

Mostly because a company wanted to switch to a subscription model, and attempt to force fuck the buyer. I know this is off-topic, but honestly, if what's being referred to is going from Nintendo's VC to NSO, I'd say it wasn't specifically to fuck the buyer. VC is a great idea that consumers didn't care for, as shown by sales numbers. Top item was SMB3 at only around 1 million units sold since VC started back in the Wii days. The top 10 games were pretty much from Nintendo with stark drops in sales going down the list. It simply wasn't profitable for 3rd-parties because they were being left in the metaphoric dust by Nintendo's own titles that in of themselves weren't doing all that well to begin with. Sega was one of the first to drop out of VC by not continuing with Wii U VC. While folks are bitter about the switch to subscription-based NSO for retro games, it did give some 3rd-parties a reason to jump back in, mainly because they can actually benefit from it even if nobody would have bought their games individually.

Also off topic on my part. I actually wasn't exactly referring to that. I was thinking of two different pieces of software. One was for home security (can't pull it directly off the top of my head). Which was advertised as a "pay it, you keep it"
But, the company changed hands, forced a online software update to the connected devices, that converted every single device to requiring a subscription... That you paid for... That was literally working just fine without a subscription.

The other was how adobe went from pay once for a perpetual license. But over time, switched to subscription based model, and depending on the age of the software and if you need to reinstall it. You are effectively going to have to pirate it to get it back up and working.

To be clear, this does and still deeply bugs me, and I wished Nintendo would offer them as something you can pay to keep per game. I don't mind the subscription model for older games existing like Nintendo has it. I have an issue with it because it's the only option.

Separate the emulator and roms. Instead, you pay for the rom ("permanent" license , carries from console to console)
What you pay for per console, is the emulator. I personally believe that would be a better way of handling things. People aren't rebuying the same game outright again from platform to platform. But Nintendo can recoup costs on the development of their emulator with a flat price from console to console.

Final edit: to be clear this isn't all encompassing. 3rd parties would still be rough to work with especially if we're dealing with another golden eye. I just don't like complaing about something without giving any form of solution.

The point isn't that piracy is immoral or that it isn't justifiable. The point is it's hypocritical to call for someone to get arrested for something that is perfectly legal, when it is very much illegal to join the military if you've committed a felony (unless you clear it with your recruitment officer first).
