Hacking Who owns perfect ds lite?

who all amongst the Temp members own a perfect nintendo ds lite? Please let us know If your ds is free from all the issues such as dead-stuck pixels, broken hinges, yellowish screen, tight d-pad, late responding touch screen or any other issues please post here.

I have a white nintendo ds lite i bought in june 2006. It has a green stuck pixel on top screen on the top left side. I dont really care about it and it doesn't matter in the game play.

I have laminated my ds with very thin transparent lamination sheet. I do that with all my gadgets and it is completely scratch free.But I do have to renew the lamination every 3 months as it starts to rip. I would post the pictures here incase any of you would like to see how the lamination looks.

Well, I just got my Black DS Lite on Friday at Game because I traded in my phat (had to because not only is it outdated [for me], but I just bought the 3 in 1 so it wouldn't fit into my Phat's GBA slot).

After testing it out, it had a little stiffness in the hinge when opening. Though it's because it's new, due to it opening perfectly now.

No other issues to report.

Actually, I felt that the stiff-ness felt quite good (that sounded strange...) as it helped make everything feel 'sturdy' you know?

It will be sturdy till the day the ds will die as there is a small lock in the stylus that keeps it intact.

Eh far from perfect. Pretty much everything is bugged except the pixels of the screen (ie. no stuck/dead pixels).

Mines got a yellow bottom screen, bumpy/bouncy touch screen, strange shoulder buttons, and the hinge has gaps that I don't remember being on my previous DSLs.

No sir you need not say more. let me ask you something. the gbatemp is no ordinary forum it is not a dwarf size forum. I believe it will take us years to read all of the forum contents. as a boarder i felt like contributing something for the forum. I had no clue that such threads must have been there. as soon as someone asks something or tells something which is already there on the forums someone draws the sword and all set to attack. I ask you did I hurt anybody in the forum by posting that new topic. I suggest we should quit these tendencies of ours or we will lose the number one spot on internet. AFAIK i didn't ask here can i run gba games on slot 1? can anyone pm me roms? hmph you have just spoiled my day and allright boardies no pictures of the laminated ds. I got a white DS on launch day one, & still no crack. But I have a loose volume slider, noisy hinge & the corner of my top screen lifts slightly. But these are miner problems & I’m OK with them.

No dead pixels, no wobbly volume control, nothing wrong with Dpad, LR, ABXY, and start and select, the smoothest, cleanest touch screen, and everything else I can possibly mention

Top screen jiggles,stuck pixel on top screen,bumby touchscreen and no green LED to tell me its on. First 3 are maunufacturing defects and the LED is my fault because I dropped my DSL.

bought my DSlite on the day they launched in new zealand
no dead pixels, perfect dpad, solid volume slider, no cracked hinge, touch screen is fine, no yellow tinted touch screen etc, infact the only fault with my DS is I rubbed the serial number off on the back

I have a launch model Navy Blue DS Lite that I imported thru ebay for like 380 AUD, a month before they announced the PAL release for the handheld. The left hinge is cracked and I had to send it in once to Nintendo to get the touchscreen fixed. In other words, mine's not perfect.

Well, this is just a bummer. My touch screen got the bouncy effect.

I tested it with another DS - my sisters - and she doesn't have this problem. Well, I'm going to Game to exchange it for another.

Not to mention the non-centered top hinge which leaves a little gap on the left side.

My top hinge is somewhat off-center. It's only about half a millimeter though, so it doesn't bother me that much.
