My author would have to be JK Rowling. Not because of the books, because of the spelling mistakes in the books. So I have her write my dreams, and they are F'ed up. Also because she is a fan of waffels and I am not.

Depends on the day. I also have a fear of driving. Like I'll drive if I have to but my anxiety peaks when I'm driving. So sometimes I have dreams where I'm driving but I have no control of the car.

I also read something about people who grew up with black/white telly usually have dreams in black/white.

I am usually amazed by my dreams, they have such intriguing stories and plots that I myself could never conceive of creating one myself, but alas it is the work of my brain. I guess the brain just uses your desires from your mind and creates a story on its own based on all the information it always gathers throughout your life, it then functions on its own and you become the audience.

To be author of own dreams sounds great. I like it. The subconscious? Collective or individual? I guess we can dream answers of others thoughts, so dreams depends more to the enviroment. I don't really get that abstract fields but If we are conected to something wider, than i guess our brain is more like reciever than transmiter. hmm

Dreams have different meanings. Do you mean dreams in a “end goals” way or dreams in a “movie while sleeping way?”

Seriously though, there are many valid answers.
Most of what Sliter and Ov3rkill have said makes sense to me. It can only be why I make so many dreams with recurring patterns over and over.

The main question is about "movie" however "end goals" i like as an answer too.
I agree so many valid answers... but honestly i can't choose which one is best.
Worries, desires? hmm sounds more like parallel side effects of something... but not a source.
How about this, commonly you don't have any nightmares, but there's one night for example you dream about catastrophic disaster, let's say plane crash. You wake up imediatelly and 10 sec later you hear a detonation explosion, someone placed a bomb under a car nearby. Nightmares itselfs are not bad, but they say that's something wrong in your neighborhood or your close enviroment. I guess it can be worries but not always yours.
