Hacking White screen when launching flashcart

I recently got a r4isdhc and updated with the correct firmware but when I load it up all I get is a white screen. No error codes or anything. When I try using the cart on a ds lite it works perfectly. I know that they are two different hardware versions but it's just strange to me that it works fine on one and not the other.

Something's ive tried:
Reformat sd card (fat/fat32)
Different sd card
Different versions of the software (different sources as well)

Any ideas for other things to check?

On which console, do you have this problem?
