Yes, but it shows every mote of dust that falls on it. I got a black Timberland backpack, and now it's kind of gray... I have to vacuum it every week

I would get the recon as it's got a hip belt to help distribute the weight, it looks cooler, and I think dirt will show as much anyways.

oh that is weak. packs last years but give us a damn 30 days.

Spokenrope: if you're carrying over 40kgs in weight for a few weeks in a awkward terrain you'll BEG for a hip belt.

If you just want it for stuff like carrying a few things about then you don't need it, I guess. Just sometimes if what your carrying is pretty heavy, its good for your back to distribute the weight.

and i dont really like jansport bags, ive used them for a while but i dont think there is enuf room
