That's really not what they're talking about at all - WiiKey still cannot play original copies of the game.

I don't really know a whole lot about the technical side of things here, but maybe the reason for the issues in dumping is due to the fact that the disc has been rumored to be on a Dual Layer DVD

Well guys,
I'm very happy to say that I have gotten the copy (real one from Japan), they hit store shelves about a day early and has just arrived with my really fast expresso shipping (cost me 72.89). I was pretty happy when I recieved it in the mail and quickly put it in my Wii, after about 30 seconds of waiting, I took the disc out. From there, I tried my own experience. I popped in the Configuration Disc, and turned my disc speed to 3X and still left region override on. I restarted the console and put in the old SMG update disc (1.9g) when it said "Put in Super Mario Galaxy." I put in SMG but then quickly swapped it with Brawl. I was supprised! I thought I was just fooling around to make it work, but it did! Too bad I won't be home for now. Work >.>
