Hacking What's best way to use a 2TB External HDD?

Should I create 2 partitions ( 1 huge NTFS and 30 GB FAT32) and just strictly use the HDD to boot/play
OR
should I make the entire thing NTFS and create all the boot stuff on a SD card?

I mainly wanna play wii games, but wanna play some emulators like NES, SNES, N64, Genesis etc.

Why not 1 huge fat32?
files bigger 4GiB are not really usefull on wii anyway

I just got my wii last night and it was already sold too me with HBC and 320 GB External with ability to launch backups, but that is not enough for me.
I'm gonna copy everything over and hope it all works

I dunno... iso files are over 4 GBs, so if you ever need to use it for file transfers like that, you're out of luck.

My HDDs on PC are NTFS and I can transfer with wii backup manager to WBFS format on the FAT32 external I think.
Hopefully it will work for most games.

All games can be transfered to fat32. They get splitted.

The only downside with fat32 is that you cant fit files over 4gb if you want to use the drive for anything besides the Wii.

Seriously it's 2TB, split it up.

WBFS 1.5TB
The rest FAT32.

1.5TB is more than enough for games.

Erm, WHY split it wbfs/fat32? There is absolutely no reason to do that just for gaming.

100mb FAT32 for loader files
Rest in NTFS for all-purpose. SInce its external you can use it have your movies etc.
NTFS>FAT32

hd movies (the only kind thats >4GiB) can't be played on wii

I'm just gonna make the entire thing FAT32, so it's easy and then keep the bootable files/emulator crap on SD card. I don't need any movies or HD on the drive because I have a WDTV and a few 3 TB externals sitting around.
Since they dropped to $129 I been buying lots
