I never saw the movie, I just thought a mountain top would be the safest place to stay in a disaster of that magnitude. The deep water "graves" (the 10-11000 meter kind in the pacific) would perhaps also be suitable but I fear the pressure would impossible to neutralize.

I had another thought..
I'd organize everybody in the world to take part in a project to create the biggest trampoline on earth.
