What should I do with my ear gauging?

I don't know what its called, but I want a piercing like the one in the link below but I want to know what gauge would I have to be to get the smallest of those type piercing. I'm currently a 14 gauge, but I'm afraid that i'll get it and not like it. Any suggestion or tips.

Also if it matters the one I would get would be flexible like the one in the picture

Here's a link to a visual of how big holes look like and what size that is. The picture you have linked to looks to be something between a 2 and a 0 ga. the smallest ga. to achieve that look would be somewhere between an 8 ga. and a 4 ga. To stretch it go to your piercer, he will use tapering pins and stretch the ears. Don't go more than 2 sizes up at a time or you risk tearing, the piercer will put appropriate size jewelry in. Let it settle for 2 weeks to a month, then repeat the process until you get the desired size.
I tattoo and pierce for a living BTW so it's not like some random dude giving you this info.
