I have a DSi. I am sending it to my step son overseas, but before I send it, I want to make sure that it won't update the native OS in case that would disable the DSTWO cart. What settings should I change/set?
DSi won't update by itself. It shows that update is available when you go on DSiWare or you can manually check for update in settings, then you have to choose if you agree to install it.
And isn't DSTwo working even on the newest firmware?

As stated, the DSi will want to update if you try to get on the eshop, and you can't stop it from asking... so never give it an internet connection.
