Hey people!

So im interested (but i cant find online and i dont own the DSi lite) what is the screen size when playing gba game on it.
Can someone please measure it for me (in centimeters please if possible)?

So just the smaller picture size that appears when playing GBA on it, not the actual physical screen size of DSi, i actually have that info online.

Thanks!

The DSi resolution is 256*192 pixel, according to Wikipedia with a size of 83mm diagonal; pixels are squares.

It has been a while. Since I did things like this. Probably a bit cumbersome (and without any warranty) so please don't laugh:

DSi screen:

this delivers:
⇒ 1 pixel is on the DSi screen is 0.259375mm²

GBA resolution is 240*160 pixel
⇒ 62.25mm*41.5mm
(assuming pixel perfect)

Again, no warranty. Analogue for DSi XL…

As for me, I directly measured, with a dressmaker's tape measure, the image of a gba game from slot2 flashcart of a DS Lite, and this is the result:
58 X 38mm

There is a certain difference compared to the result obtained by my friend @KleinesSinchen , but I think it depends on the fact that the DSi screen is slightly larger (maybe) than the DS Lite.

The DS-Lite has slightly smaller screens compared to the DSi.

Throwing the value of 76.2mm value for the diagonal from official Nintendo site into the same calculation gives:
60.96mm*45.72mm for the DS-Lite screen.
and
57.15mm*38.1mm for the pixel perfect GBA window which is pretty near to your measurement.

Seems my calculation wasn't that bad. Since I don't know how accurate the values from Wikipedia are, and if some kind of tiny border counts to the values… yeah, somebody should just measure the GBA window on a DSi.

yep the titles doesnt match with the text in the question. If I have to guess I would say
it is for dslite as dsi doesnt support gba games natively.
Although its possible to play gba games on dsi in any of their models nowadys.

edit. I just forgot one point, the screen size and resolution are different from top and bottom
screen in both ds lite and dsi.
So this could matter when replying the question, so I guess OP could be clearer in his request :)
