Hacking What format should your SD card be in?

Mine is fat32 but i want to convert to exfat.
Can i just copy contents to a pc, change to exfat and copy back the contents?

But you all seem to forget that even if the game is 32 Gb. it ONLY makes files of a max size of 4 Gb. Did you check you folders?

The NSPs are larger though.
Also you bumped an almost year old thread just to say that?
exfat - no problems
The chance of corruption is much higher with exFAT so it's not recommended.

Speaking of which, what benefits are there for staying on 4.1.0?

I too had the formatting update issue, but I don't have SX OS or anything yet. I have just been playing around with the BotW saves for now. I also couldn't back up my NAND for obvious reasons on FAT32.

I know this is an old post - but for future reader help - I too had version firmware 4.1.0 (firmware version no matter) * I just reformatted a 32GB SD card to EXFAT and then backed up my NAND into one large file. Of course there are remedies to put multiple files into 1 large file too. A nice 32Gb card is good for working "both" paths.... the Switch will still see it without update using a 32GB card. LOL
