Hacking What cart to get for 3DS?

Hi,

What cart do you guys recommend to get to use with a 3DS to run DS games?

Seems quite a few are coming out now that will work with the 3DS but just not sure which is the best one.

If it needs an update to run on the 3DS, you might not be able to use it on the 3DS to update it for the 3DS.

Yeah I 2nd gen DS, currently using an Edge on that but reading that they are a no go for 3DS... so time for a new one.

I'm still trying to figure out if I did something "wrong." I was able to put the latest DStwo files on the microSD, load it up in the cart on the 3DS, perform the update and use the card as normal.

Are there certain situations, like this, where you don't need a regular DS or am I missing something?

The Supercard DSTwo can usually update itself without a need for the DS to actually boot it, since it uses it's onboard CPU for some stuff, so all it needs is for the DS model to send it some power, which it can use to update itself.

It's "normal" carts that often need an older DS to apply the update.

Can the Supercard DSTWO brick the 3DS? I don't mean by using a flashcard but some people say that it blows the fuse on the DS Lite so can it happen to the 3DS?

Last week to order a Acecard2i. It's not the cheapest but it came in 2 days and it had already been updated to the 3DS firmware so was just a plug and play job!
